Fashion break!
Well, since there is a little under two hours before the next game I decided to give myself a little fashion break. I was wondering around the internet and decided to drop by one of my favorite clothing line's website. Baby Phat!! They have updated the line and website and most importantly the clothes. Once again a lot of good stuff on sale, with a wide range of sizes still available. Feel free to browse the sales racks. Back to the new stuff, the clothes are so cute. Here goes my online evaluation. First up shirts!

The shirts are cute and traditional Baby Phat. The one thing that I did notice was the short sleeve lengths. If you have issues with your arms, like myself, I would steer clear of their short sleeves because they all seem to be cap sleeve.

Now for the pants:

Baby Phat never goes wrong with bottoms. The pants and jeans always compliment a woman's assets, especially a curvy woman. The jeans hug in the right places and has room in the needed places.

Next up, my favorite, shoes and handbags:

I must say that I was slightly disapointed with the shoe selections. In the past, Baby Phat had blazing shoes. Shoes that even if they hurt while you were in them, you brushed it off and continued to strut as if you were on a runway in Milan. I personally couldn't imagine what to wear with some of the shoes in the current line. Do not get me wrong, there were a pair or two that very briefly caught my eye in a good way, but not as strong as in the past.

I feel the same way about the handbags that I do about the shoes, slightly disappointed. They were a little too out there for me. Too blinged out. They are more suited for clubbing or partying, not everyday use. I would love for Kimora & Co. to make a cute everyday Baby Phat bag, but still with a little bit of the Baby Phat edge. Something that can go from day to night. Maybe next season.

To wrap this season up, i would suggest that people stick to the clothing this season and only walk down their accessory aisle if you club/party alot. A plus about the Baby Phat line in general is that they offer supply to all sizes, junior and plus. They offer clothes for young teeny boppers and sophisticated twenty year olds.

What a great time of year!
The one thing that I love about this time of year is the winter clearance sales! Sometimes, alot of the good stores still have beautiful and lush items still in stock at a lower price to make room for the new stuff. I am one of those people who shops in the season cleareances when I have the money to do so. Although they won't be that new or still in the store, you have to remember that you have to be careful of what you buy. Here are few pointers I keep in mind when I am searching the bottom of these online bins.
1.) Try not to pick anything too trendy at the moment.
2.) Look for classic looks and colors. Avoid prints, because they become outdated quickly, except Pucci. smile
3.) Most importantly know your body! When I say this I mean you should know if you tend/plan to gain/lose weight over the next couple of seasons. Pick your sizes and shapes carefully.

Keep these tips in mind and I believe that you should be alright.

Check your toes !

Good morning everyone! This post is for my lovely ladies who love the summer weather and the feel of fresh summer wind blowing across your feet, maybe that's just me. Anyway, I love sandals and especially flip flops!!!
I decided to browse one of my favorite online stores that offer good affordable clothing and their shoe game is great! This place is Alloy.com. I will admit that some of their clothing is a little wear and tear, but the shoes are beautiful, trendy, and affordable. Here are a couple of shoes that caught my attention while I was looking through my little sister's magazine. Here you go:
The first up to bat

This shoe is so cute and looks super comfortable. For those who don't live that far from work or shopping places and feel like walking with a stylish pair of comfortable shoes, this might work for you. I do not have these shoes, so I am not sure if they are that comfortable, but they look like it.
Next,

This shoe is combining my three favorite summer shoe styles; metallic, strappy, and wedges. What more could I want! I think these shoes would look great with a pair of jeans or a nice summer dress, depending on color. But I love these shoes. Definitely on my wish list.

The next and last shoe for now is not to showcase a shoe, but a rant for me.

I bought a pair of shoes last year from Nine west that looks exactly like this show to a tee. Right now I am looking at that Nine west box in disgust at myself. I paid almot $60 for those shoes that Alloy is now offering for $29. To top it off, I only wore the shoes twice while on vacation in Chicago this past labor day weekend and did not recieve one compliment! Ugh,Gross! Patience is a virtue, especially when it comes to paying for shoes.

I want to end this post with the most important note about wearing sandals and open toe shoes. Always make sure your polish is in check and that your feet are not ashy and cracked up. I say this because a pair of jacked up toes can make the cutest shoe look super ugly. Keep a tube of foot moisturizer in your bag and do not be ashamed to make a quick run to the bathroom and apply some to your feet. Better late than sorry!

Slow day..
Since I was getting too bored looking at ways to improve the look of my website I decided to do my favorite past time...Browsing luxury online stores. Today's store was no other that the wonderful world of Saks fifth Avenue. The first thing I saw was this wonderful Kooba bag. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a sucker for a large, stylish and trendy bag.

I am not a big fan of the color , but the style and name makes up for it in my opinion.

The next thing I fell for was this scrumptous Marc Jacobs. I think Marc Jacobs is my style god. Any man who is talented enough to design for Louis Vuitton, is my messiah, baby! Anyway, just look at his bag, which is only $358. Definitely, on my soon to be in my closet list.

Last, but definitely not least.

This luscious Luella bag. If a bag full of money fell out the back of a money truck, would I return it? Yes, but it would be around....$1,325 short. because that is what it would take for me to afford this bag. i love Luella's bags, because they are trendy, but at the same time could still be up to date for a couple of years.

I personally need to look for a new tote/briefcase. I would love a bright red and leather one for those days when I wear those dark nuetrals. It has to be big enough to hold my laptop, makeup bag, wallet and various other things(folders, disks, etc.). I have looked but I have not found anything affordable that fits that description. I hope to soon or I will have to cave in to the world of retail price. Ugh, the pain in the pockets!

Moving some of my old blogspot posts.
This post is from last week, so keep that in mind:
Last night, instead of posting pictures about the Oscars'fashions, I decided to watch the new show from the producers of Laguna Beach called 8th and Ocean. The show basically follows the lives of models living and working in South Beach Miami. Since I am so addicted to Laguna Beach, I thought this show would hold my attention in between season, but I stand corrected. I must say that I was not amused by the commercials leading up to the premiere and I also must say thatI am still not amused. The show did not even attempt to hold my attention. It was so boring that I kept flipping between it and censored reruns of "Sex and the City" on TBS. I will try and watch the repeats this weekend to give it another chance, but my opinion as of right now is a hands, not thumb, but a hands down. Better luck next time, MTV.
