James Perse

There is nothing like a soft and simple go-to tee. A tee that's comfortable, yet chic. James Perse makes some of the best tees out there! I only ahve one that I bought last summer while on vacation in Miami. I love it so much, and it shows. I need a new one. However, everytime I wear it, I still feel casual and chic.

To see more pieces from James Perse, including this cutaway cardigan that I plan to have intense dreams about, then visit his online boutique.

Bryna Nicole 2008 Holiday Collection

A peek at a holiday collection is always nice, but when its a peek at one of your fav designers, then that's fabulous! As many of you should already know, I am a huge fan of Bryna Nicole bags. Unfortunately, I have to be a distant fan until I get my hands on one!

After taking a much wanted look at the holiday collection from Bryna Nicole, my distant love of the line is getting stronger. The collection consists of classic shaped clutches with fun and trendy colors and textures, which is the better half to any LBD! Unfortunately, we have to wait a little while longer for the collection to be released, but I am already sold. Pssh, I was sold before I got a look at the collection!

While waiting, check out past Bryna Nicole collections at her online boutique. The fall collection is crazy hot! My birthday(9-28-08) is less than a month away and all I want is the Minna Slouch in Violet! Seriously.

They have everything from strappy sandals to tall boots up for the 40% off grab! So, get to snooping and scooping a pair, chicas!

Who Owns It!...Gucci Babouska Booties

In the past two days, both Vanessa Simmons and Julissa were seen rocking the same Gucci Studded booties. Vanessa opted to wear her pair with a ruflfed silk dress, sheer black stockings, and an oversized Fendi clutch while attending an event the other night. However, while performing hosting duties on TRL yesterday, Julissa opted to go for a simple and chic look for her Gucci booties by pairing them with a leather pencil skirt and light white top. So, who owns 'em?

Accessorizing with...Hilary Duff

Recently, actress Hilary Duff was seen doing what I have been meaning to do for a couple of days now; going to the cleaners. We are just alike, well, except she had the pleasure of accessorizing her plain white denim shorts and black camisole with some quite fabulous accessories!

Let's work our way up and start with must-have boot of a hollywood 'it' girl. A pair of Loeffler Randal Matilda Flat boots. They are too chic to care if its too warm and sunny to be wearing boots..apparently. Next, she is not just toting a hobo bag, but a Ted Rossi Python Hobo that is swoon worthy! I want that bag! Finally, to top of her "The Cleaners" look, she is rocking a necklace that I would push her down and snatch it off her neck! It's the Eslabote Necklace by Malababa and I am feening for it! Seriously.

So, as I sit here in my simple outfit blue chinos and white v-neck tee, I can't help but feel bad for my dry cleaner. She has to see me accessoriezed with only a crossword Dooney drawstring bag(looks better in person, but not with what I have on), white bamboo earrings, white enamel watch, and my dusty, but trusty white Converse, while The Duffster's got to be enamored with glamour.

Ya'll Asked...Rihanna's Top

I have received more than a number of inquiries about this top that Rihanna was seen wearing last week while shopping. When I first saw it, I had a strong intuition, based on print and design, that it was by Matthew Williamson. Guess what? I was right!

Rihanna was rocking Matthew Willaimson's Butterfly Print Vest as a top. I just love the billowy look of it! Fab.

Tarina Tarantino x Kidrobot Jewelry Collection

Dope. That's all kept saying as I viewed each piece from the Tarantino and kidrobot jewelry collabo. Each piece stands on its on and looks so hot. My fav pieces that I am scoping hard are the 'bee" labbit ring and the medallion/peecol necklace. They need to be in my life!

Eye Spy...Blake's Purple Bag

One of favorite faux upper eastsiders, Blake Lively a.k.a Serena, was seen shooting scenes for the upcoming season of Gossip Girl while toting around one of my 'must-have' fab bags, Bryna Nicole's Loyola Satchel in Violet.

Ugh, I seriously need a Bryna Nicole bag...like, now! I definitely wouldn't mind this bag of purple perfection. Lucky, Blake!

Call the preacher. I'm in love!

When you finally end a relationship after numerous years and recents bouts of doubt that it will survive, sometimes you start to wonder how long it will be before you find that next love that you hope to spend the rest of your life with. Well, for me I only wondered that question for roughly..eh.. 25 hours.

This weekend, I had to finally dispose of my 2004 navy and chic Manolo Blahnik pumps. Tears were shed. A session of trying to find ways of saving them were contemplated. Unfortunately, after 4 years of being my go-to navy shoe and a couple of trips to the shoe repair shop, they had to be laid to rest in the nearest heap of heels that I can't find myself sending to a trash field to burn.

When I woke up this morning, with fond memories of me and navy pumps still dancing in my head, I decided to take a virtual walk around Barneys.com. After "walking"for less than 30 seconds, I met the new potential love of my life.

Joli Noed Dorcet+ Samida = Love at First Sight!

These deep purple, slick, chic, classic stilts are FABULOUS! I would wear these everywhere and with everything, which will probably lead me to the spiritual shoe place I was at this weekend. When it comes to gorgeous shoes, I love too hard. Oddly, when it comes to my boyfriends, I hardly love. Different post for a different site! I kid..kinda.

Swooning for...Headphone Necklace

Have you ever seen an everyday item that you have seen numerous times before, but this one time you think of a new way you wish you could see it. Well, just last week, I my brother walked in, like millions of times before, with his earphones hanging around his neck. However, for some strange reason, this time I thought that they would look hot if they were gold. So, when you wear them around your neck, they would look like jewelry from a distance.

I just knew that someone out there on this green planet had that same visual and actually made it into reality, but I didn't drop everything and look into it. So, today, I am doing my usual surfing-the-internet-to-avoid-falling-asleep-at-my-desk and stumbled across these handmade headphone necklaces at fredflare.com.

Each necklace is handmade and cast in solid silver or goldplated gold. Plus, they are absolutely fly! I want the gold ones...since that's what I invisioned.

Currently Swoonin'...Chloe "boots"

Technically and for the sake of a name, these are Chloe's Wedge Ankle Boots, but in a phrase, these are freaking fabulous!! Ugh, cool weather and fall need to speed up, because I don't know how long I can take seeing all these pieces that would look great with the looks I have concocted for my plentiful fall looks.

I'm seriously gasping for air at the mere sight of these shoes with their sexy slight of peep toe, dangerously high 4 inch wedge, and that classy detail of suede folding over the front of the shoe. Hell, this shoes is the perfect transitioning shoe into fall. Its suede, but shows plenty of footsie, the simple color options would look great with any summer dress or preppy fall look. Why wait for fall?! Not loving the price, though. That's whats stopping, moi.

Yay or Nay...YSL soles

Yves Saint Laurent has taken their chances once again, but this time at the "sole". YSL has introduced a collection of shoes that feature rugged, gold platform soles that add more than height, but also a tough look that you wouldn't normally associate with such an elegantly chic line as Yves Saint Laurent. Oddly enough, I am torn about this one. So, what about you? Yay or Nay?

Butter Shoes

I have been looking for simple pair of gold d'orsay heels taht aren't too "glitzy" that looks classic and could be my "go to" gold heel. Finally, I think I found! Its the Caarmel by Butter Shoes!

Butter shoes. Never heard of them? Well, me either. So, here is the info on Butter shoes. Butter shoes is the stylishly chic brainchild of designer Nancy Geist and director, Lee Riech (the same duo behind Tibi Shoes and the bridal line, Something bleu!) Nancy designs everything in NYC but the shoes and boots are all hand cut and sewn in Italy and most retail between $225 and $240.

The above images are from their upcoming holiday/resort line, not yet in stores but their current lines can be found a few places online and lots of small boutique stores such as endless.com, simplysoles.com, shoefly.com, www.shopcopperpenny.com, and the store Tani in NYC.

As you all know, I just love being introduced to lines and design houses I haven't had to pleasure to know before and hopefully Butter Shoes and I stay in constant contact!

WeWe Spring/Summer 2009 women's collection

When WeWe first came out recently, they were known for the ethnic inspired prints for boys and girls available in tunics and dresses. When I first saw the prints, I instantly was in love with africa feel of the garments, but extremely upset that they were not available in adult sizes. The anger is over now that WeWe has introduced a collection of their ethinc print dresses and tunics in adult sizes...men and women.

Although the collection is not that big, the pieces of dresses and tops, dresses in particular, make up for it! I just love all the long maxe dresses with vibrant colors and prints. My favorites include the Kimmy in Sunflower and the Sade in Sand. They so remind me of the dresses my aunts and cousins from Liberia would wear when they visit the states, which is not that often unfortunately. Either way, I just love these dresses! Way to go, WeWe!

Also, don't forget to check out their  children and men's collections!

WeWe Clothing is also ECO-FRIENDLY! A fabulous bonus!

Sneak Peek...Andrea Brueckner's Holiday Collection

I'm such a nosy person! I love getting to see sneak peaks, especially if its something that I am sure to love. Needless to say, I was more than happy to get to see a sneak peak of Andrea Bruekner's Holiday Collection.

In case you don't know, Andrea Brueckner is a Manhattan designer who was behind that coveted saddle bag from fashionable years ago. One of the most fabulous things about an Andrea Brueckner bag is that it's made right here in the U.S in Manhattan's garment center, unlike some other designer bags that are made in and under questionable manufacturing procedures and practices.

Not only are Andrea Brueckner bags socially responsible, but they are absolutely gorgeous! Unfortunately, her Holiday collection won't be available for a couple of more months. Until then, I guess I will have to have dreams about that red embossed croc bag. Very swoonable!

Also, feel free to browse and snag a bag from her previous collection at her online boutique!

A True "Clutch" player

In the world of sports, a "clutch player" is defined as that one player/person you go to that will give you that shot or play to win in almost any situation. A go-to player. Well, sometimes is hard to find a "clutch" clutch, because of the gazillion different sizes and shapes and sometimes overkill of embellishment.

Well, here is a "clutch" clutch for you in the form of Jessica McClintock's Cracked Ice Envelope Clutch. I used over at E-Stylist for a recent look, with only seeing it online. This past Friday, I as a strutting through Macy's trying to power walk to Finish Line to get my sis a new pair of AF 1s, I saw this pale and scrawny mannequin clutching the clutch and I stopped as if the red clutch was directing me.

It is so roomy and sexy and chic and a clutch...clutch. This is a clutch that will go with anything anywhere thanks to is streamline shape and simple detail in the way of the wrinkly looking leather. Plus, this baby is wide and roomy. So roomy that I snatched one in red, black, and yellow and they have been my weekend looks go-to player, I mean clutch player.

BTW, I am on the hunt for the hot pink one! I might have to go ahead and order it online.

Watches that are stylish and 'Scoop'able

I have really been on a watch fest as of recently. I don't know why, considering that when I am out and about and in need of knowing the time, I usually glance at the bottom of my computer screen or reach for my cell phone. However, you can not take away the status/style symbol watches give to your individual fashion.

The wonderfully chic and stylish boutique SCOOP has released a watch that is absolutely fabulous, available in mutilple colors, and AFFORDABLE! Its the Mother of Pearl Pave' Bezel Bracelet Watch and the colors, style, and overall look is perfect to take you through the seasons! Its the perfect size of not being too small and dainty, but not big and bulky. Muy perfecto!

On a personal note, all my fashion life needs right now is the purple one! That's real talk.

My Frog Fall-out

You know how one day you are okay with something and could less about it being on the planet, but the next day that all changes with no reason what so ever!!

Well, that's what has happened with me and frogs. Frogs and I were cool. Tadpoles were absolutely adorable! I mean, I was VP of the Kermit the Frog fan club in some of the most inclusive and exclusive groups of pre-k cliques in the Metro Memphis area. However, all of a sudden the feel, sound, and definitely the look of them just freaked me out beyond belief.

One day my mom got the urge, while my brother and I were at school, to give our bathroom a frog motif. Seriously. When I got home and saw that shower curtain filled with every variation and breed of frog imaginable and the statue of a frog with a soap dish on its back, I went straight Joan-Crawford-wire-hanger on that mug! I have moved on...somewhat.

Needless to say, I was not jumping for joy or even relaxed when I saw the latest handbag from my friend and confidant in my head Marc Jacobs.

The last thing I need in my life is bag, black or acid yellow, with an oversized frog on it. I would freak the @!*& out! I mean, not only is it a frog, but its an oversized frog! Who wants that, other than maybe Miss Piggy? I can't take it! I need some Aleeve.

Bobbi Brown Face Base

Yesterday, my life was basically a three ring circus of trying to balance a ridiculous amount of work @ my 9:30-5:30, going through emails pertaining to current giveaways and in the very near future giveaways, and the multiple texts from my lil sis about the shoes she wants for the first day that I offered to buy, which are the black and white Nike Air Max, I was drained by lunch. So, when I found a very small break in my day, I decided to touch up my make-up and realize that I was in need of some much needed "me time".

Unfortunately, that "me time" didn't happen, because as soon as I opened my make-up compact and saw my face, the only thing on my mind was "Where the hell is my make-up?!"

That 30 minute personal make-up session that I went through that morning was absolutely nowhere to be seen. The only thing I had left were the remenants of perfectly pair of  "styled" eyebrows and my DiorShow waterproof mascara. Where the hell was my blush, concealer, foundation, and powder? ANSWER: All those tissues that I used throughtout the day to dab and counteract the sweat/oiy attack that my face endured.

After work, I stopped at the mall and was in dired and determined need to find a solution. Since I have been carrying on an incredibly beautiful romance with Bobbi Brown's foundation stick, the BB counter was the first and come to find out the only stop I needed to make. I explained my "situation" to the lady at the counter and she instantly wisked me away to the make-up mirror where she pulled out this little jar filled with what looked to be custard and smelled of oranges and hints of lemon and shea. It was BB's Vitamin Enriched Face Base and my summertime savior!

The Face Base is loaded with Vitamins A, C, and E, all which makes it possible to for your make-up application look and stay flawless. It does have some weight to it, but it gently melts into your skin without leaving that ridiculous greasy feel and look. You skin will look and feel moisturized and soft. I know $50 is a more than I little pricey, especially for me, but as I have come back from power walking from the store to get some ice coffee to my desk in less than 5 minutes while not having that horrendous feel of make-up sliding down my face, I definitely say that this is a good investment if your care about the overall look of your skin, with or without make-up.

Marshall's Shoe MegaShop!

NO TAX WEEKEND! Although the heat index is making the life of shut-in sound fabulous, "no tax" weekend quickly erases that. In conjuction with no sales tax, stores are having sales on any everything you could possible want! However, my personal want/needs are SHOES!

My closet is over flowing with clothes and despite what my mom and some associates say, I never feel that I have enough summery clothes. However, I am taking a break from clothes and invest my hard earned money into scoping and scooping  for some fabulous shoes and the first place I am hitting is Marshall's.

Last month, I recieved an email about how some Marshall's were popping up Megashoes Shops that would harbor loads and loads of shoes for everyone in your family. My friend Jasmine and I had to check this out and I am so  glad we did! We each left with at least 5 pair of fabulous, chic, and affordable shoes! So affordable, neither of us broke the $100 mark!

The picture of the gold strappy flats hooked me in and I found them!! I so love them! So, if you are looking for a place to find incredible shoes at incredible prices, then you definitely need to see if your local Marshall's has a MegaShoe Shop. Its so worth it, chicas!
