Singer Solange is in Miami toringin the new year and was spotted on the beach rocking this tank by Nothing Sacredby Obesity and Speedfrom Urban Outfitters. Solange must really love Urban Outfitters, as do I, because I have spotted homegirl rocking quite a few pieces from that store.
Seriously, my little oak dresser is piled with jewelry! Everything from my my dainty gold earrings to my big hoops straight from Claire's. All those chunky, long necklaces that were the rage a few seasons ago to my growing collection of thin gold necklaces that look so chic layered. Anyway, I have enough jewelry to open a Kiosk in the middle of a mall.
I do have a jewelry amroire that I absolutely love! However, I tend to keep mostly jewelry I wear for special occasions and heirlooms. For my everyday stuff, I need something that will make it easy to grab and go and this Yes Frills Jewelry Organizer is just what my jewelry needs.

While I was browsing through Coutorture, I stumbled across this runway picture of this ridiculously beautiful bag from Gucci's Spring 2009 collection. This bag just slapped a whole bunch of oohing ahhing out of my mouth. So f*&cking fabulous!
It never fails, every year I always get most of the things I want. It would be all, but I guess Santa can't get everyone a BMW and a lifetime upgrade of cell phones and tech toys for a discount. I digress.
Along with the things I want, there are always safe bets gifts such as scarves, make-up, and misc. things that I love just becuase. Well, out of those misc things, there is always one gem that I didn't want or know about until it was unwrapped and explained to me. This year that gift for me was Sephora's Illuminating Tweezers. I have heard of them, but thought they were nothing but some tweezers with a small flashlight built-in and would add nothing but a portable light to help you navigate through a big crowded bag. I was sooooo wrong. These tweezers are my new best friend.
I am huge fan of tweezing. All the nerves around my eyes are damn near gone, so there is no pain. I have a huge problem with thin strays and this little genius gadget not only points out all those fl-awful follicles with a subtle but poweful, but they remove them with ease and no pain thanks to some of the best tweezers I have ever! Oh, so grateful for these. I broke them out last and I am still in awe as I sit here with perfectly spad brows. You all should definitely get a pair!
I thought that having two weeks off would mean I would have more time to blog, but instead my two week mini vacay has turned into a chance for me to catch up some things such as cleaning, holiday shopping, and some good ol' DVR cleaning of Cold Case, Eli Stone, and Christmas episodes of my fav shows. The good life.

So, this weekend I took a mini trip to Houston to visit some fam and partake in some good ol' shopping, because Houston has so many great places to shop 'n' drop in. Although I did go into some incredible and fabulous stores and boutiques, one of my fav places I had the chance to wander through was Marshall's. Over the past year, Marshall's has really peaked my interest thanks in part to their savvy prices, stylish selections, and their additional add-ons such as the Shoe Megashop, which I love!
The latest addition is The Cube! The Cube is Marshall's in-house boutique that features the mall worthy trends and brands, but at affordable prices. Seriously, it was basically a dream find for a trendinista on a budget or those of with trendinistas on our shopping lists. The Cube is filled with all the clothes, shoes, and accessories that to keep you in style and in the red! I found some super cute dresses for my lil sisters and a pair of strappy leather boots for me! I couldn't leave completely empty-handed!
I also have to mention the clean and chic layout of The Cube. The layout makes you feel that you are in a cute and trendy boutique. I loved that! Plus, the clothes!

Over the past few days, I have been keen to try some new and unexciting things. Tried to give myself bangs, but there was nothing banging about the outcome. Luckily, I didn't cut them short and they have enough length to be pulled back in a ponytail. I gave a guy the we-r-better-off-as-friends mantra via text messaging at 5 o'clock on Sunday morning. Nothing more to elaborate, because he was so not my type. Just going out with a guy that I was not physically attracted to was something else new. Add that to the list.
For the past year, I have been itching to try something else new and since I had quite the awakening weekend, this might be the perfect time to do so. I have been wanting to try a pair of hidden wedges. Since college, I have not been a wedge girl. Its been heels, cute flats, and go-to always-classic Converses. However, when I saw these hidden wedge ruffled booties by Free People, I knew it was time.
Ugh, how cute! The cafe colored pair are on their way to me as I type. I can't wait!
There's nothing like dope piece of hardware to give your look an Rihanna-gothic-chic-appeal. This Bullets Ring in silver does that and then some. Its not too bulky, but dainty. I so f*ckin want it! I want it so bad it hurts my eyes with every piercing second I stare at in psychotic way. The only thing that is going on in my mind is that it shouldn't be with anyone else and better not be with anyone else. Really, this ring should look into the proper authorities to get a restraining order against me. Real talk.

Just in case you haven't been following some of my Twitter updates, I have to find a pair of simple, but jumbo earmuffs! I have been looking for over a week now and I am getting uber fed up! Plus, I need to find a buy a new Christmas tree that's about 6-7 ft, full, and NOT pre-lit! What's up with the unwanted abundance of pre-lit trees. I get it, saves money on having to buy light, but what if the lights stop working? Well, then I am going to be stuck with a tree full of lightless light and have to add working lights with "unemployed" lights.

How to buy a winter coat
The key to a perfect fit is arm seams that hit exactly at the edge of your shoulders—you should be able to cross your hands over your chest comfortably.
In damper climates, look for waterproof fabrics—100 percent wool can lose its shape and/or get that damp-dog smell when wet.
Try it on with your bulkiest sweater and your favorite shoulder bag. If the sweater looks lumpy under the coat or the bag doesn't fit over your arm, this isn't the one for you.
Fancier coats look best when they are long enough to cover the skirt or dress underneath, so try those styles with the longest skirt you plan to wear them with.

Recently, Target announced they are teaming up with accesories designer Trish Carroll to launch a limited edition shoe collection and Lily Band and Sulaika Zarrouk to launch a limited edition handbag collection.
Carroll's collection, which is Miss Trish of Capri for Target, will be available at Targets nationwide and online at Target.com from April 5, to July 5, 2009. Band and Zarrouk's collection, The Feliz Rey collection, of handbags will be available for purchase at Target stores and online from March 29 to June 14, 2009
In the past, I have been somewhat disappointed in the accessories collection from Target's designer collaborations. However, I do like what I see above. We'll see!
