Eye Spy... Rihanna's Denim Bag

Recently, Rihanna has been loving her Wang! When I say Wang, I mean Alexander Wang. She has been addicted to his line with everything from dress to bags. Yesterday, singer Rihanna was seen having lunch with fellow singer Santogold in New York and carrying an Alexander Wang denim leather zip Brenda bag.

I'm not really into shoulder bags or denim bags, but Wang's take on both of those styles really works for me!

Eye Spy...Amerie's T-Straps

So, this weekend, a bunch of parties and events were being held left and right during the BET Awards 09 weekend. Celebs were all over the place, including DefJam artist Amerie, who attended Le Metier De Beaute Launch At Fred Segal Studio Beauty Mix in Santa Monica pairing a simple white tank, Preen motorcycle jeans (as seen in Rihanna) and these mod/futuristic (oxymoron, I know) Balenciaga T-Strap Sandals. I wanted these sandals so bad, it was starting to hurt my sole! lol

R.I.P Michael Jackson

When someone passes away, everyone mourns their death. However, I think one of the best ways to remember someone is to celebrate their life. Fortunately, Michael Jackson left us a huge amount of material and memories to not only celebrate his life, but make us remember good moments of our life that involved him.

Some of my Michael Jackson memories including me playing his 'Bad' album over and loving the almum jacket. Also, at my 6th grade graduation, they had all of the 6th graders circle the cafeteria and sing 'Heal the World' to the parents and guest. Fun times and good memories!

So, I plan to celebrate Michael Jackson's life my pulling up a cahir and watching the all of Michael Jackson's videos on his YouTube channel!

Ooohhh, I'm go to tell my mama!!

I just love Bath and Body Works! Other than Starbucks, it's one of those store I have to stop in when I go to the mall. Maybe its the scents that they have brewing that lingers into the mall and carries you to their aray of lush lotions and fun fragrances. Whatever helped them lure me, it works and I'm hooked!

My love of Bath and Body Works started with their Sweet Pea scent. I loved it in college! My mom wasn't a big fan of it, especially when I lit that big candle version! However, her inappropriate displeasure with Bath and Body Works ended with one dark brown glass bottle of lotion from their insanely popular aromatherapy collection...Energy Bergamot Coriander.

That little lady fell for that stuff and couldn't shake the scent of it from her memory. Unfortuanately, after awhile, we couldn't find Bergamont Coriander at any of our local Bath and Body Works. Everytime I would say that I am heading to there, she would remind me to look for it, but to no avail.

So, I can't wait to tell her this afternoon that I found her Bergamont Coriander online for $6!! Bath and Body Works have brought back some of their classic Aromatherapy scents and mi madre will be so happy to hear that her Bergamont Coriander made the cut!

Caress Evenly Gorgeous Body Wash

Okay, I have an addiction that is starting to take a toll on the window sill in my shower...body wash. At any even given time I can have 5 different body washes in my shower with 10 others in my beauty closet. However, I have noticed recently that I have been reaching for one in particular, Caress Evenly Gorgeous Body Wash with Burnt Brown Sugar and Karite Butter.

This is one of the most luxe body washes I have ever had the pleasure to use! When you squeeze it out of the bottle, it looks like  melted brown sugar and butter and smells even better. It exfoliates your skin and leaves soft and evenly toned skin to flaunt! Hence, when I know that I am going to be wearing a skin showing blouse, I always make sure I reach for the Caress Evenly Gorgeous Body Wash! I have feeling this is going to be my go-to body wash this sumnmer, because it is so far!

Sensiclear

I'm sorry, but is just too hot to be wearing a full face of make-up. So, I have been skipping the foundation when I put my make-up on in the morning. I wouldn't have been able to do this a month ago, because its hard to do that when you have acne-prone skin, such as myself. Thanks to Sensiclear, I don't have to worry about covering up outbreaks and achieve that natural look...naturally!

So, for the past few weeks I have been using the SensiClear System and have instantly become a huge fan! I have tried numerous, and I do mean numerous acne systems in the past from some huge cosmetic lines, but none have been able to keep me coming back like Sensiclear will in the future.

Sensiclear includes a new ingredient called Retextra that unclogs pores, softens skin, and assist in achieving clear skin! Yes, all that!

The system includes a delicate and purifying cleanser, a soothing gel toner (which I swoon hardcore for!), a moisturizering acne lotion, and a spot treatment.

Here are some of the results of an independent study about Sensiclear:

  • SensiClear was 50% more effective in reducing acne lesions than Proactiv during the first critical 3 days.
  • SensiClear reduced acne by up to 70% in just 28 days
  • SensiClear reduced redness by 200% in just 28 days
  • SensiClear increased skin brightness by 92% in just 28 days
I will happily admit that I noticed an almost instant glow, smooth, and clear complexion after a couple of days, which has made me stick to the regimen and wear less make-up, which was the plan! Plus, I haven't had any major breakouts in the past couple of weeks! Score!

So, if you are interested in achieving a smooth and clear complexion, you should definitely give Sensiclear a shot!

By the way, spring for the 60-day deluxe system. I have that system and have been using it for almost a month and I'm still have more than half left!

Time's up!

Usually, when a hot designer shoe comes out and the price is just too high for moi, I send out a hot pink alert to let me know when its 50% off!
However, when the shoe is finally 50% off, it months and months later and my coveted sizes of 9 or 9.5 have been far gone! Well, that doesn't apply to Christian Louboutin's Orlan! I saw these months ago and wanted them like I want continuously flawless skin and makeup, but the price tag of almost $900 made push them out of my mind.

Today, while I was browsing Barney's website, I saw my past crush with a price tag well under 50% of the initial price. I got happy, but I knew my happiness would be short lived as soon as I clicked on it to see which sizes were left. Its usually those diabolical petite numbers like 5.6, 6, and other small numbers.

Well, I had to clutch my necklace and fan myself with my notepad when I saw that the only size left was mine...a 9.5! It might be little roomy considering I wear a 9 in Louboutin, but I can handle it and so can my wallet... for once!

Trying to De-Stress

Ever since the power outages this weekend from Fridays storms here in Memphis, I have been feeling so drained and stressed. 36 hours of no electricity pushed me back in work and energy. However, today is looking a smidge better thanks to being back at work, hopefully AT&T is delivering my internet upgrade to my apartment as I type, and hopefully I will have my paycheck at the end of the day!

So, to celebrate the positive swing that my day seems to be taking, I decided to do a little online browsing and rewarded myself and effort with this seafoam green bag by Deux Lux! I can't wait 'til it arrives!

Page Sargisson is so "charming"

When it comes to jewelry, I can be such a girly-girl! I love cute little jewelry that are adorable, dainty, and borderline trinkets.

Page Sargisson provides all that, but some pieces that are just downright "lust-worthy"! As you all should know by now, I am die hard fanatic of charms. I love them! Especially, small and precious ones that are completely different from the norm. The pig, unicorn, and bee mini charms are just too much for me to handle! Swooning!!

Although, I seem to have a crush on the majority of Page Sargisson pieces, my neck was ready to propose "til death do us part" to the calendar charms! The calendar charms are custom made using a letterpress from 1967! Each pendant is customized to a calendar date and has a vintage and weathered look that makes it just an overall spectacular piece to add to any jewelry wardrobe! I think I might have found my birthday gift to myself! September 26!!

Please, visit PageSargisson.com to view more pieces, collections, and how you can get you an one-of-a-kind charm!

I scored at TheOutNet.com

Yep, Mama just grabbed these Kors by Michael Kors Allie espadrille wedges for under $100! I needed a new pair of cute espadrilles that were not too high in the heel, but still cute. Now, I need some more nautical pieces to fill in the I-wish-I-was-riding-on-a-yatch-instead-of-this-office-chair-wardrobe!
