I'm swooning for some bronze flats!

For fall, I have been swooning hardcore for a pair of bronze ballet flats. When it comes to ballet flats, I tend to stick with bleh black and matte gold. Simplicity. However, I've been itching to score a pair of bronze flats, but I wasn't sure if I wanted plain or something with embellishment. I dunno.

Well, that desicion has been made alot easier thanks to what I found in my inbox, these bronze ballet flats from The Lindsey Phillips collection. Each flat is made of nappa leather and comes with a embellished clip that can add or remove from you shoe depending on mood. Muy perfecto!

They are available in black and silver, too! However, my heart is only skipping beats for the bronze. Also, you can additional clips!

The shoes don't come out until October 1st, but I'm already adding them to my fall wardrobe wishlist!

Review: Bath and Body Works Sugar Scrubs

A couple of months ago, I had a package sent to Stained Couture resident beauty junkie, Beautylishus. That package contained a jar of Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Energy Sugar Scrub in Mandarin Lime. She loved the scent, however, that's where the love ended. After all was said and done, she didn't notice any of the things that the scrub was suppose to do. The boost of energy that the scent was suppose to give never showed and there was no skin of smoother skin, which you would expect a body scrub to give.

Well, I love Bath and Body Works too much to not test their Aromatherapy Sugar Scrub for myself. I tried the Sensual Jasmine Vanilla, which smelled i-n-credible! So, luxe, I swear! However, I found myself noticing some of the same negative things as Beautylishus, such as not enough moisture or smoothness to the skin afterwards! The major thing that I disliked about the sugar scrub was that there was more liquid than scrub. My hand had to swim through half a jar of oil to get to the scrub, which led to oil sliding everywhere. Oil on a wet shower floor is not neccesarily the greatest or safest thing. Needless to say, I nor Beautylishus really cared for this scrub, other the fabulous scents.

On a positive note, I did go to B&BW and loaded up the Aromatherapy candles in Jasmine Vanilla. It's my apartments siganture scent right now!

A Purple Passion for Payless

Since I had such a late and fulfilling breakfast, I thought that I would skip my daily walk to Subway for lunch and instead go the opposite way and stop in to Payless to see if there was anything on my closet wishlist that I could grab.

Well, I like to research first and decided to snoop around on Payless.com first to concoct some of list of wants, maybes, and those-are-so-fiyah-I-hope-they-have-them! That's when my list was downgrade to a post-it of one item; these purple ruffle booties!

I'm not really a purple shoe girl and its nowhere near bootie weather here in Memphis, but these shoes are just too cute and affordable to leave on the shelf with the chance that someone other than me will scoop them up!

Keep your fingers crossed for me that these booties will be at the Payless here next to my job.

Time to Brush Up!
So, a few months ago, one of my fabulous Twitter followers asked me if there was anything she could do to be part of Stained Couture. Since I have always wanted someone to cover the beauty side of Stained Couture and she seemed to not only know, but love make-up and beauty, I thought that she would be muy perfecto for the addition.

Who is "She"? Well, she's the one who has always been the "girly-girl" growing up. Whether it involved neon green nails, mismatch makeup, or hair, she always loved to try new things and step out of the box. Now a 20 something year old energetic mom of a toddler, She has carried her love for all beauty into her adulthood. From DIY pedicures to Professionally done cosmetics, she enjoys it all, and doesn't mind sharing her experiences.

So with that said, Meet Joy Krystal. The girl behind the makeup blog (prettyisanunderstatement.blogspot.com) who has expressed her love for beauty into the form of her makeup artistry known as GlamourEYEZd Beauty. She will share her real life rants and raves about products that she'll be reviewing in posts titled "Brushing Up With Beautylishus"

Check out more about Beautylishus on her own beauty blog and follow her @ Twitter.com/Beautylishus

Say It Isn't So, Clinique!

Today, after deciding to stay loyal to the nail shop I have been frequenting since college (8 years), I made a stop at Macy's to pick some fall-worthy plaid pieces and made a stop at the Clinique counter to pick up one of the first foundations I ever fell in love with after not using it for a couple of years, Clinique's Clarifying Makeup Clear Skin in Honey Honey. This is one of the only foundations that hid my acne ridden skin, while helping it heal, too!

Well, as soon as I requested my foundation of choice from the very friendly clinique counter lady Deborah, she instantly said that it was discontinued. Whhaaatt?! As I was standing there in shock, Deborah found a few left, but informed me that it was being discontinued in February. Needless to say, I scored 2 tubes today and plan to buy as many as I can before its too late.

I don't want this...

I NEED THIS!

Although the season is changing with clothing following behind, there is one thing I refuse to let go of and that is mixing a long necklace with a short small necklace. All summer, I have been pairing all the long necklaces that I have accummalated over the years with my go-to-everyday small short gold chain.

However, I have quite a few long gold chains that I don't feel comfortable pairing with my small gold chain. For some reason, I feel I am giving of the "Mr.T" look without trying. One necklace that I paired with my "gold shortie" is this long, black beaded neckalce that I can rock with damn near anything and everything in my wardrobe. Now, I want to switch it up, but still keep the overall contrasting simplicity of the gold necklace and black bead necklace.

Well, I spotted this short black beaded necklace over at ShopMami.com and I have been oogling it all day! Not to mention the price of $18 is not too shabby! I think I might have to gift this to myself, my fall/winter wardrobe, and all those long gold strand necklaces in my jewelry box that have been patiently waiting for their time to shine!

Oooh, I just a thought of pairing this short black bead with my gold shortie! It won't have the length, but I see nothing by chicness in my mind right now at the thought!

Dior Serpent Pumps

You can never go wrong with a uber sexy red pump, especially if it's these Serpent Pumps by Dior. The patent leather, stichwork, and that decadent gold heel is just too much fabness! Don't you agree?

These shoes are also available in black, but the look so much powerful.

RachelRoy.com is LIVE!

I swear, ever since I heard Rachel Roy was releasing an inexspensive line through Macy's and after seeing pics of the pieces, I have been checking almost religious Macys.com for the collection. However, they were only sprinkling out things here and there, but I needed a downpour!

Well, I had to finally grab my umbrella, because Rachel Roy's e-commerce website, www.RachelRoy.com, has finally gone live and includes both her Rachel  Roy New York Collection and her Macy's Rachel Rachel Roy collection, which is what I've been waiting on! As with most designer's sites, it includes all the pieces that I have been craving for the past few months. The Rachel Rachel Roy collection doesn't begin to ship until October 5, but some of the collection is already sold out!

Ya'll better hurry up!

Swooning for... Coin Drop Hoop Earrings

Ever since I was a little girl, I have had an intense love of coin jewelry. I loved the sound it made as the coins clinked and clanged against each other. I loved the shiny textured that seemed to go with everything..to me at least! My love of coin jewelry beit earrings, bracelet or the simplicity and hood girl neccesity coin ring.

So, needless to say, that when I saw these coin drop hoop earrings by one of my favorite jewelry designers, Kenneth Jay Lane, I instantly had the urge to cop them! shhh, actually I did! shhh.

I love the hoop look, but with the drop effect. Plus, the shiny gold coins lured me in, too!

Aren't these new low Eyelets Ox Chuck Taylors simply sick?! They have the traditional canvas upper, rubber toe and sole, but 38 crazy eyelets that are laced with a super skinny grey spaghetti laces. So many eyelets, but that's why I love this pair of All-Stars! I want them.
