That is one of fashion philosophies that I live and shop by! That philosophy is up there with "Quality over Quantity" and I always seem to be preaching them both to my random friends/family when shopping. I was out and about ,wishing I could shop the way that I want, when I was heading to the cramped dressing rooms with about 5 different forms of white tops in my freshly manicured hands. Of course, my shopping comrade of the day pointed it out. So I explained to her my obsession with white tops.

One reason is because they go with anything! Dark jeans, light jeans, long skirts, short skirts, suits or sweats. They are one of the most essential pieces that must be in everyone's closet.

Another reason why the front of my closet is mostly white is because white looks so refreshing on anyone. No matter your skin tone, complexion, or ethnicity; white will brighten up your face and maybe even your mood! Not even your size should deter you from picking up a white top!

One of the best reasons is because you can usually get white tops cheaper than colored and patterned tops and nobody will notice the difference. Every designer or department store has some variation of a basic white top in their collection or store. Unless you are one of those people who are obsessed with wearing the brand on the front and stamped all over, then you will most definitely appreciate this reason.

Last, but not least, is that basic white tops never go out of style. Although I my time machine is not plugged up right, I do believe that years from now people will still be throwing those white oxford tops on to go to the office, a tee to go to run errands on a nice Saturday afternoon, or a simple white tank with denim jeans to shop for more white tees, tanks, polos, and oxfords.

I will admit that just because it is white doesn't mean that it will carry you on for the rest of your fashion forward life. Those trendy white bohemian tops might get you a few stares three years from now, so just don't break those out frequently!
