I know that some people love working tans, real and fake, for the summer. I for one am not one of those people! I do like tans, but lately I feel that they are not meant for me and my complexion. In the summer, I prefer to have a nice, subtle, golden, and sun-kissed look. It looks natural and works in any professional environment.

To achieve this look I opt for lotions and oils that have gold refelctors in them and adds a nice shimmer to my shimmy. I have told you all about my undying love for Jergens Soft Shimmer, but there are some other products out there that can help achieve the same look and appreciation. So here are a few that sit on my dresser for easy summer time usage.

One product that I use is by the Oh So Sexy Victoria's Secret. Its Vicky's Shimmering Body Oil in the Bare Bronze Collection. I like this product because it not only gives me the slight shimmer that I adore, but also does a great job in moisturizering my skin. Can you ask for more?! It contains Vitamin A, C and E, which are very neccessary for maintaining good skin. When using this product, be careful of the amount you use, because the last thing you want to do is look like a big ol' golden nugget walking down the street.

Another product I use is not a lotion or a oil, but a powder. Its by Urban Decay and I accidently discoverd this product when a friend of mine sent it to me. Its Urban Decay's flavored body powder in Honey. It smells and tastes like honey, athough I haven't personally proven the latter. It comes in a cute golden little container and leopard print puff to apply.

I use this powder after I apply a nice and generous amount of SPF induced lotion. I let the lotion dry and then I casually dust this over bare skin that is showing. This is a great option for those who have oily skin and feel that the addition of more oil is not the best thing. Plus, the smell is perfect for the summer!

There are many products out there that gives you shimmer and sun-kissed looks without the tans. These are just a few products that have helped me out in achieving my summertime looks and felt the need to share!
