The "devil" is fierce

I am so sick of hearing about this movie, but still utterly anticipating its arrival! I am not a movie-goer by any means. When I see a commercial for a movie that intrigues and interests me, I almost immediately say "I can't wait for that to come out on DVD!" That is not the case for "The Devil Wears Prada." The name alone already can count me in for whatever it costs nowadays to see a movie.

I have been hearing about the movie for almost a year, but for those of you who have been living under a nasty, moldy rock or without access to a TV to see all the commercials and promos, then keep reading.

Its about a recent college grad named Andy Sachs(Anne Hathaway) who lands a job as an assistant for Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), the editor of Runway magazine. Runway is the fashion bible to all those who worship fashion, in the movie at least!Anyway, it looks to be a great movie, so go over to Yahoo to read more about this film that hits theaters June 30, because the review over there is alot better than anything I could write about a movie I haven't seen!

Although "The Devil Wears Prada" isn't even set to grace us with its presence until two weeks, I've seen and read at least 20 different promos for it, this weekend alone! I must say that the promos are great, especially the ones that involve shopping, or in my case, and window shopping!

Here are few of my favorite and fab products associated with the film.

I usually save my favs for last, but not in this case. My favorite item associated with this movie is this tee that can only be found at Kitson. Anyone who knows me or sees me on my "off" days know that I am a tee junkie. This light blue creation says "Please Bore Someone Else With Your Question", which is a quote from the movie via Ms. Priestly. Grab your 48 bucks and grab it while its hot!

The next promo product is by Dior and I was lucky enough to have had this sent to me a few weeks ago thanks to a cosmetisc connection I have living on the outskirts of Manhattan. Its tentatively called "Angels wear Dior". They would retract that title if they knew I was wearing it! Anyway, it consists of five shadows, mascara, and gloss, which all gives you a fresh faced look. I tossed this in my make-up bag as soon as I fell in love with this awesome little compact. $50! Great steal, considering all I had to do was answer the door to get mine!

The next item is so hot that I had to cut on my ceiling fan to cool me down! I am not a big fashion fan of leopard print anything, because it reminds me of those cheap fur print coats old ladies who use to be fashionable wear. These shoes by Quai D'Orsay makes me consider retracting that fashion philosophy, maybe not!

Now you know that the marketing minds behind this movie and the fashion gods employed by Prada were not about to allow this movie to be promoted without joining forces and the product of that force is a perfume. The Devil Wear Prada Tendre set includes various versions of Prada's "parfums". My roomie ordered this and I will admit that I've splashed myself with it a couple, okay, a gaggle of times! I love it!

In case you didn't know, this movie is based on a book of the same name by Lauren Weisberger. I haven't read the book, but based on the reviews over at Amazon.com, its not worth the read. Those reviews have prevented me from buying and reading the book, but the movie looks to good to past up!

To see more of the fab products in or based on "The Devil Wears Prada", head over to the sections that Sephora and Amazon have set up.

Stay Stylish!
