Foam it up!

As I was watching reruns of The Hills on MTV, I saw a ladies shaving cream commercial boasting about a new fruity, probably stomach turning, scent. That made me ponder why these companies aim to spend so much time and marketing budget on creating and promoting a new scent every other week.

If they really want to grab my attention and purse strap, then I suggest they make a shaving cream that doesn't foam up so much that I have to hire a search team to find my razor or cover my shower with enough foam to make me feel like I was attacked by a wedding cake, or gag from the smell of 20 different kinds of tropical daquiris.

It has been really hard, but I have actually found and used a couple of shaving products that my shower and I love.

The first is Razor sharp, super smooth shaving gel by the masterminds over at Philosophy. The reason why I like this so is because its a gel doesn't produce a lava of lather to cover my shower. Its also unisex, so that special guy that you occasionally cohabitat with can use it. I recommend that you only use a small amount, avoid if you have sensitive skin, and prepare to drop an amount to only use for shaving.

A friend of mine keeps this in her bathroom, so I had to try it. Its called Archipelago Botanical Shaving Milk and the name speaks for itself in terms of texture. Its very much like milk and feels so smooth, slick, and super moisturized. Just like the Philosophy shaving gel, its quite pricey just to shave away some unwanted hair. At least it works!

The last gel is by the people over at Gillette. Its their Satin Care Shave Gel with Skin Toning. No fruity scent, plus its packed with the right vitamins to help tone your skin. What more can you ask for in the summer time, or as I like to call it show off those legs already time. Unlike the previous two shaving nods, this one does not cost an arm and well shaved leg. Muy bien!
