Not in the Black

Wednesdays are usually a little hectic for me, because its my first day of the week of having to go back to the office. I work from home on Mondays and Tuesdays, which means Wednesday mornings are filled with hectic moments of getting ready to go to work. This morning was no different. I never seem to decide what I want to wear until I stand in front of my closet with my Smurf blue terry cloth robe on trying to desect the turmoil of color coded fabric that I call my closet.

Today I opted for a hot pink Izod and slate gray wide leg Old Navy pants. Preppy, yet spunky! Trust me.  Anyway, I had less than 5 minutes to be out the door when I realized that my rusty orange Amici bag that I adore just did not go with my look. So, I frantically dug around in my crates of purse and bags looking for a simple black bag that would work for such a casual look and day. Nada. The only black somewhat simple bag I have is a Fendi Zucco print. I love it, but its not casual looking enough.

Can you believe that, me, Samida, does not have a simple, yet chic everyday  black bag in my collection. I guess for the past year, I have been more focused on buying colorful and unique bags that I have simple forgotten to score an impeccable and good ol' trust everyday black bag, which is a staple in every purse wardrobe.

So, before I purchase anything else, I have to find and buy a new go-to black everyday bag. Here are a few that I have already optioned.

A. Juicy Couture 'Rock the Bag' Tote, $225, Nordstrom; B. MICHAEL Michael Kors Austin Large Shoulder Bag, $298, eLuxury; C. Hamptons Signature Large Hobo, $298, Coach; D. Juicy Couture 'Lock Love Ya' Shoulder Bag, $350, Nordstrom

Stay Stylish!
