LUST-HAVE LIST: May 2013

LHL_may2013

So, what happened to April Lust-Have List? Well, April came and left so quick and I got caught up in the rapture of personal and job demands, which explains the drought of content here. However, all that has changed and I’m back and so is Lust-Have List!

This month, its all about transition from the cool and free spirit of spring to the hot and busy months that make up summer. Oh, it’s coming and I’m beating the rush. I don’t know about ya’ll, but here in my neck of the woods, its getting hot and it’s making me believe that we are going to be in for a sweltering summer. I’m not looking forward to that other than maybe getting a nice tan and glow.

Anywho, here are some things that I’m loving for the month of May! Are there some things that you’re looking forward to acquiring this month? Please share!

  1. Rebecca Minkoff M.A.B Metallic Leather Tote, $295, Nordstrom – A soft gold tote that’s perfect for work and fun and carry you from busy weekdays to casual weekends.
  2. Open Back Top, $17.99. Target – Orange, Sorbet, Coral, whatever the color, orange is a major color this season and it’s everywhere and I love it! I’ve bought more orange these past few weeks then ever in my life. Therefore, I’m loving this light weight, open back top from Target. It looks chic, carefree, and can be dressed up or down. Nice!
  3. Gorjana Kennedy Chain Ring, $30, ShopBop – At first glance, this looks like a cute little chain bracelet. However, this is actually a chain ring that I want oh so bad right now to wear on my one of my knuckles, instead of the big chunky knuckle rings that everyone and their enemies are wearing, This is actually a nicer and chicer way to wear a ring on your knuckles and I’m for it!
  4. 7 For All Mankind Madiera, $225, Piperlime – I can’t lie, the shiny gold is what caught my eye, but the classic style and it orange color is what sold me. Fab.
  5. Linda Farrow D-Frame Acetate Sunglasses, $525, Net-A-Porter – These are sooo out my budget’s reach, but I can still look and swoon from afar.

Fake Bake Gams

ULT_onedaytangel

I’ve mentioned on numerous occasions to you that I’m not a short dress or shorts person. I wear them, but usually around the house or to run a quick errand that doesn’t involve me getting out the car. Ehh…I digress, because all of that has changed in the past few week.

Since Easter Sunday, I’ve been spotted in shorts and above my fat almost non-existent knees on more than 4 occasions. That’s big for me! However, it didn’t take me long to realize that my legs lacked some…uh…..color. Basically, my legs were a pasty pale in comparison to my arms and face. A fashion AND beauty no-no!

So, I decided that I needed to nip this situation in the bud, but I didn’t want to get anything to permanent. Just a quick little fix that I could get rid of with just a simple wash in the shower. Enter Ulta’s One Day Tinted Body Gel.

When I say that this was a quick fix to a quick problem, I mean it. The gel is very light weight and gives the opportunity to build the coverage and shade you like. Depending on your complexion, it’s available in Light Medium or Deep Medium.  PLUS…no awful scent. Trust, if you are looking for a quick and very effective fake tinted gel to tie you over until you can get enough time to lay in the sun (don’t forget your SPF) then, you might want to stop by Ulta to pick this up.

Weekend Bag: April 20-21, 2013

WEB_042013

This weekend I plan to carry this fab neon yellow clutch I stalked for a good 2 months (at least) and finally caved in and bought it when it was on clearance for $17. Love.

It’s pretty roomy and has an inner zipper pocket and outer pocket under the flap. It’s so roomy, that it can hold all my essentials for a lazy weekend that is pretty much going to consist of the going to the park on Saturday and church on Sunday.

  • Wallet (also from Target) – When I really want to be compact, this is what I grab. It holds my ID, debit/credit cards, and a compartment for my phone.
  • Notebook – For random thoughts, ideas, and notes at church.
  • Michael Kors Watch – I’ve been meaning to take this to get the battery replaced for over a month. Hopefully, I will be able to get this done this weekend.
  • Revlon Lipgloss in Coral Reef – Perfect pout of shiny coral.
  • Pill Case for my multi-vitamin, biotin, and green tea extract pills
  • Car Keys – The pouch matches my clutch. Score!
  • My phone, which is a MyTouch 4g from T-Mobile. I strongly dislike this phone.
