LUST-HAVE LIST: December 2012

2012 is almost in the books and boy was this year crazy for me and not in the good way, either. However, I’m amped to welcome in 2013 and my list of things I want to accomplish. However, before I can get to that, I have to wrap up December. When I think of December, I think of cold nights, shopping, and more shopping. I got my tree up and some of my shopping out of the way. You?

Anyway, here are the things that I’m lusting for this month. I guess you can also say that this could also be my Christmas list. Anyhoo, Cindy Loo…here is my list!

  1. Nixon ‘The Camden’ Watch, $275, Nordstrom – I can never pass up wanting a shiny watch, especially a rose gold one, because I have yet to own one. That needs to end and soon!
  2. Keurig K-Cup Single Cup Brewing System, starts at $99 – Other than a new laptop, this is something that I not only want, but NEED! Living alone, but having a full-time career and social life and not home that much to down multiple cups of coffee, the need for a traditional multi-cup making coffee machine is somewhat ridiculous for me. To be honest, I’ve been lusting for a Keurig for the longest and if one of my personal Santas don’t get me one for Christmas, I’ll probably just get me one myself. Self-gifting is awesome.
  3. Studded Sneakers, $99.90, Zara – Hidden wedge sneakers were probably one of the hottest street and chic trends of 2012 and I finally caved in and bought me a pair this weekend from Target that can seriously pass for the coveted and forever sold out pair of Isabel Marant’s Bekket sneakers. I gave in a drop just $40 on them and they feel amazing even though they were too small for my typical size. Anyway, I’m hooked and I want more hidden sneaks, including this FABULOUS pair from Zara. The studs add a nice flair to them, don’t you think?
  4. Contrast Collar and Bib dress, $24.80, Forever 21 – This year, it seems like I have too many parties to attend and not enough dresses. First for everything, I guess. However, this year, I want a simple staple dress that I can dress up or down and can wear all year, permitting the right layering techniques and accessories. Therefore, this dress from Forever 21+ is perfect. I can dress is up with a sparkly cropped blazer or cas’ it down with a denim jacket, scarf and boots. Oh, the possibilities.
  5. Celine Sunglasses, $219, Smartbuyglasses.com – Okay, this is serious. I don’t know how long I can go without owning a pair of Celine shades. Every time I saw someone in the popular chain shades from earlier this year, I found myself lowering my head and at times, holding tears in, but I can’t fight it any longer. I need a pair and I’m crushing hardcore over these retro oversized pair. I can’t..

There you have it, my Christmas list Lust-Have List for December 2012. Oh, this is the last list of the year. Wow. Let’s all take that in and realize that we’re almost done with this year. *High Five through the screen*

I Need This Scent In Every Form

My baby sister finally turned 21 this past Monday (Happy B-Day Erika!) and for the past 3 years, I get her the VIP Bag from Bath and Body Works.

In case you didn’t know, every Black Friday ONLY, (I’m not exactly sure how long they’ve been doing this) Bath & Body Works sale an actually chic tote bag filled with full size products for $20 with the purchase of $40 in products( we usually just take advantage of the 2 for $20 candles and call it done). It’s a pretty amazing steal considering that the tote filled with the goodies retails for $110 on its own and getting this bag as a B-Day gift has turned into an annual event and probably will be for the rest of our lives, as long as the offer is on the table at B&BW.

As a small token of her appreciation, she lets me pick one thing from her coveted birthday gift and call us even. So, this year, I picked out from her bag of free goodies this Sparkling Champagne Hand Soap. B&BW hand soaps are pretty fab, due to them being anti-bacterial and gentle foaming. However, this scent right here, which I believe is new, is AMAZING!

Everytime I wash my hands, I get so happy and find myself doing some hardcore sniffing as the soft foam is gentle washed off my hands and then the scent lingers for quite awhile! Sparkling Champagne has a soft scent of mandarin, pink sugar, and champagne. Ooohh…

Unfortunately, they only offer this scent in hand soap and hand sanitizer. This needs to change pronto, because I’m almost craving to have this in lotion, body wash, and body spray formula. I’m not sure about the candle version, yet, because it might be a little too strong in candle form. On the other hand….why not?! The more forms the merrier, at least for me!

Have any of you had a chance to take a whiff of this scent? You should.

Sunglasses for….Heart Shape Faces

SUNGLASSESheartshapefaces

Heart-shape faces are so cute too me! I love the round cheeks and the slender, almost pointy chin, which makes the heart shape. When sunglasses shopping for heart-shape face, there are some things you need to consider.

Here are some things to keep in mind when you’re shopping for the right sunglasses for heart-shape faces.

THE RULES

  • Cat-eyed frames look great in classic tortoise and creams for a feminine option.
  • Wrap-around frames work well in balancing out a diamond face shape. A masculine option for a sporty lifestyle.
  • Keep your choice of frame small and neat.
  • Rectangular frames will sit neatly on a heart shaped face, balancing out a pointed chin. Metal framework with a solid, dark lens creates a casual, unisex option.
  • The wayfarer is unisex and offers an array of colour options as well as working in perfect synergy with small features.
  • For the park lane princess, the butterfly frame is ultra lux. Just make sure it has a soft, gradient lens to balance out its oversized silhouette.

Here are some designer sunglasses that are perfect for heart-shape face.

Sunglasses for Christmas

Sunglasses are probably one of the most non-gifted items for Christmas. However, that’s one of the main things I’m carving this holiday season. I need a new pair of oversized black sunglasses, preferably rectangular lenses and classic styles.  Typically. I buy my own sunglasses, but why not ask one my Santas for a pair, but I would like a pair that could carry me from Winter to Spring and all the way into my “mature years”. So, that means nothing to trendy or colorful.

I’m really feeling these Balenciaga pair. They are just everything I wand and need in a pair of sunglasses: Classic, perfect frame shape, and chic.  I want them. However, I feel you can never go wrong gifting or being gifted with a pair cult classic Ray Ban Wayfarers. Timeless.

Are any of you eyeing any sunglasses this year or have you been gifted with a pair from Santa before? Let me know.
