Making Scents of It: Bath & Body Work’s Country Chic

I’m a scent-aholic! I adore scents in perfume, body spray, air freshners…whatever. Soooo, I’ve decided that I want to start doing more perfume and cologne pieces (I swoon men’s cologne) whenever I feel the need or the urge and decided to create a new title for it and everything. Likey?

Anyway, the first scent is one from Bath & Body Works called Country Chic. I’m not sure how long it’s been around. I think they debuted the collection sometime this past summer, but I’m just now getting it. The reason I just recently bought it? Oh, you see, everytime I step foot in B&BW I always leave with enough lotions, body sprays, candles, and stuff to keep me smelling liking anyone you want meet or place you want to visit….for years. So, I made a conscious effort to afford that store like the plague for the past few month. Unfortunately, I had to go to the mall this past weekend to get my free birthday gift from Sephora and some other stuff that I didn’t need and told myself that I would just casually walk in B&BW to sniff the new fall candles and bounce empty-handed. Easy to say, hard to do.

So, one of the lotions I bought was Country Chic in the small bottle, just to give a whirl. After less than a week, I’ve finally decided do I love, like, or loathe it. Keep reading to find out.

Hunter Lapins Rain Boots

I don’t know about you all, but as soon as there is a slight breeze in the air and a little dip in the temperature, I race to closet yelling in my mind “It’s boot season!” while knocking shoe boxes holding all those sandals that I’m over wearing a grabbing all the boots I can find. As usual, it’s a little premature and by the next day i’m back to wearing flip flops to run errands. Either way, I seriously can’t wait for the weather to get low and stay there.

I’m so amp for boot season that I’ve already begun to stalk the boot section of some of my favorite online haunts and that’s where I stumbled upon these amazing Hunter rain boots. I’ve never been too fond of heeled rain boots, because it just seems a little dangerous to be wearing any sort of height on wet and slippery terrain. However, these Hunter Lapins boots have a pretty rugged looking sole and heel.

I love the military look of the boot and the three color options are fabulous! Although you can never go wrong with black and the olive green in almost a touch of perfection for the overall look of the shoe, my eyes and heart are fawning over the nubuck color called “Spice”.

Do you like? Do you want?

D.I.Y: Taking Off The Tarnish

I love these Nashelle hoops that I receives a couple of summers ago. However, I haven’t worn them since, because they became major dull and tarnished. So, they have been hanging on my earring holders just begging to be loved again.

So, on Labor Day, I found myself in Bed, Bath, & Beyond and saw some brass polish cleaner and figured it was good time as any to get the shine back to my triple hoop earrings.

Muted Safari Greens

Although I thought I was over the whole safari looks, Michael Kors spring collection has kind of changed my mind with it’s luxe mix of intricate dye jobs and exotic skins.

I also loved the rich pops of yellow and orange lightly scattered through the collection and the touches of cream and crochet.

The collection was a mixed of neon pinks, yellow, and oranges. Also, favorite color combination of pinks and blues and pastel lace over flourescent colors.
