Seeing these Bass Reid oxfords stirred up some memories. When I was in the 4th grade, my mom bought me and my brother some classic Bass oxfords. Classic, leather, beautiful, and, of course in the early 90s of sneakers, my  brother and I weren’t really enthusiatic about them and probably only wore them a handful of times…combined and that was only because my mom made us do so.

However, by the time the mid-90s rolled around and I was in the 9th grade, my generation was blessed with this amazingly fun and stylish movie called Clueless which influenced cute, fun, but a smidge preppy style that was splattered throughout the halls of my junior high. All I wanted one day was that pair of Bass shoes that I neglected years earlier. Eventually pouting and begging paid off and Santa gave me a pair that are the flat version of these Reid oxfords.

Now, 15 years later, I find myself back to wanting to get the adult version of the Bass shoes that I longed for. Plus, they are perfect for fall!
