One of the first things you are told to never do to your skin is to use a bar soap. The main reason why is because bar soaps made your skin look and feel dry. This can be very true, but only depends on the type of soap you used.
If your interested in trying a bar soap to cleanse your face, check out these suggestions first. Plus, you can use some of these on your body and even hair, too.
Bar Soaps For Your Face: Dove Beauty Bar
One of my favorite bar soaps to use is Dove’s Beauty Bar. What I love about this bar soap is that it’s gentle, hydrating, and smells amazing. I also use this a body bar in the winter to help with my dry skin.
Bar Soaps For Your Face: Clinique Facial Soap
One of the first cleansers I used in my teens to help with my acne is the Clinique Facial Soap. The great thing about this soap is that it’s available in different formulas to address different skincare needs. Also, it’s really simple and effective at thoroughly cleansing your skin without stripping it. It’s also part of Clinique’s iconic 3-Step system and my first “big girl” skincare purchase.
Bar Soaps For Your Face: Neutrogena Facial Bar
Another good facial bar for acne is Neutrogena Facial Cleansing Bar, which I’ve mentioned before. It’s a good alternative to the Clinique bar, but not as hydrating. However, it’s gentle and leaves your face feeling pretty clean and smooth.
Bar Soaps For Your Face: Drunk Elephant JuJu Bar
For Christmas, I received a couple of bar soaps from Drunk Elephant, which I didn’t realized existed. However, after dealing with post-Christmas breakouts, I tried out the JuJu bar. The JuJu bar not only cleanses your skin, but also exfoliates and heals the skin. This came in handy for some pesky bumps that popped on their own. Not to mention, it made my skin look brighter.
Bar Soaps For Your Face: Dr. Bonner’s Tea Tree Pure Castile Bar Soap
A good bar soap to use for oily skin is Dr. Bonner’s Tea Tree Bar Soap. Tea tree is good at combating oil in skin and hair, which you can use this soap on both. Plus, it’s vegan, biodegradable, and made with organic oils.
