Best Cheap Concealers and Correctors

best cheap concealers and correctors

The temperatures have really cooled down now that fall has officially arrived. I’m so glad about that, because I can start wearing more make-up now that I don’t have to worry about the sun making my face feel like a tanned oil slick of foundation and eyeliner. I mean, it was just too hot this summer to wear much makeup, including foundation. So, to eliminate the need for foundation, I stepped up my skincare game, paid attention to what I ate, and played around with just wearing concealers and correctors for problematic areas. In the process, I realized that there are a lot of affordably cheap concealers and correctors out there that do an amazing job.

Favorite Cheap Concealers and Correctors

Of course, there are plenty of drugstore concealers and correctors, but some don’t live up to the hype and your expectation. However, I’m glad to say that there are some great options out there. One of my favorite concealers I’ve ever used is NYX Above and Beyond Full Coverage Concealer. Since it is a full coverage concealer, it’s a little heavier, but still is easy to apply and blend. Plus, a little goes a long way, which means this can last a long time. The consistency is also great as an undereye concealer, as well.

One of my favorite undereye concealers is Maybelline Instant Age Rewind undereye treatment concealer. Real tears will fall from my eye is this is ever concealer, but I don’t think I have anything to worry about, because this is a cult favorite. This concealer is not only does a superb job at covering dark undereye areas, but also brightens the area, too. Maybelline also makes a concealer for all over concealing, but the undereye concealer blows my mind more.

Another concealer that blows my mind is Hard Candy’s Glamoflauge. It’s really pigmented and full coverage, plus super affordable. Unfortunately, the color options are low and light and you can only get it at Walmart. However, if you can find a shade that matches your complexion, grab it and 2-3 more. It’s worth it.

Unfortunately, concealers can’t conceal everything so flawlessly and you need little help from a color corrector. The best drugstore color corrector I’ve ever used is a corrector from  L.A Girl’s Pro Conceal line. They have deep pigmentation to cover any skin issue you have and the brush tip applicator makes applying and blending a breeze. Aside from the color correctors, L.A. Girl’s Pro Conceal concealers are just as great and come in a wide range of shades. The only issue I have is that they are hard to find in brick and mortar stores. So, I have to order them online.

BH Cosmetics was flying under my radar for far too long, but I eventually caught wind of their concealer and corrector palette this summer. I already reviewed this palette, but I didn’t get to play around with it for long or that much this summer. Since the consistency is very creamy and the correctors were fairly light in color, it wasn’t very compatible with my tanned and oily skin. However, now that it’s getting cooler outside, my skin is not as oily or tanned. So, I’m about to starting experimenting with the palette a little more.
