Whenever I’ve had a long and/or bad day, I have a routine that instantly makes me forget about. Said routine usually consists of a watching true crime TV while sipping wine and noshing on wasabi peas with a random sheet mask on my face. As much as I would like to stop using sheet masks, they are just so good for me. I love and embrace any beauty product that can work it’s magic on me with little to no assistance from me. Impulse buying sheet masks, especially drugstore sheet masks. I bulk buy them and hoard them for those days when I feel like only a sheet mask will do.
Needless to say, I’ve tried a quite a few sheet masks in my life and most of them this past year. In order for this obsession to not be completely done in vain and vanity, I decided to share some of my favorite sheet masks. However, not just any sheet masks, my favorite drugstore sheet masks. Yaasss, I’m about to serve some frugal face sheet mask options!
Best Drugstore Sheet Masks: Hydrating
The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrogel sheet face mask is great at hydrating tired, dry skin. It was almost miraculous how this sheet mask my skin soft, supple, and hydrated before I could finish my glass of wine. This has really helped me during these unseasonable cold days.
Best Drugstore Sheet Masks: Firming
Any face mask that claims to help with firming and anti-aging instantly gets my attentions and my money occasionally. I spotted this Andalou Naturals Instant Lift & Firm Facial mask while heading to the checkout at Whole Foods. After one use, my face looked like I got a quick snip and lift. Also, my skin looked and felt smoother and hydrated. Thankfully, I was able to find this mask in Walgreens, too.
Best Drugstore Sheet Masks: Brighten
While we’re on the Andalou Naturals train, let’s talk about their Tighten & Brighten Sheet masks is amazing. It’s great to help your skin look brighter and tighter, hence the name. Not mention, like the age-defying one, it also helps hydrate the skin.
Best Drugstore Sheet Masks: Pore-Refining
My favorite pore-refining sheet mask is one by Dr. Jart and it’s amazing. However, I can only get it at Sephora and it costs almost $10. The only comparable sheet mask that I’ve tried from a drugstore is Soap & Glory’s The Fab Pore sheet mask. Whenever my skin is acting extra oily and more pores are showing out, I slide this bad boy on my face. Afterwards, my skin is a little more matte and the look of my pores are minimized. Plus, my skin feels cool and calm, which is one of my favorite feelings.
Best Drugstore Sheet Masks: Acne
A couple of weeks ago, after spending a weekend indulging in too many unhealthy, but delicious fried foods, my reacted by breaking out. The breakout wasn’t major, but it was enough for me to deep clean my face and reach for this Yes To Tomatoes Acne Fighting sheet mask. Since I loved the Yes To Tomatoes cleansing stick, I felt like my skin wold react well to this mask. I used it during my night routine and woke up the next morning with barely a hint that I was dealing with a breakout less than 10 hours ago. I have to mention that the smell of this mask wasn’t that pleasant, but the results made me not mind it…that much. 🙂
