Boozy Creamery Ice Cream Makes Adulting Fun

One of the biggest myths ever is that being adult is fun. Well, maybe, it’s not the biggest myth, but it’s up there. As a child, you have visions of staying up as late as you want, eating whatever you want, and finally buying that pony. They never told you about the consequences. Monday morning meetings, weight gain from just smelling donuts, and BILLS are real. However, there are some highlights to being an adult, such as The Boozy Creamery alcoholic ice cream. Yes, it’s a thing and I’m totally here for it.

The Boozy Creamery Ice Cream Mix

This past weekend, I decided that I was going to spend some time embracing this whole adult life and make some alcoholic ice cream with the help of The Boozy Creamery alcoholic ice cream mix. The best thing about this is that you don’t need an ice cream maker to make it. Keep reading to see the process and the results.

The Boozy Creamery alcoholic ice cream mix is available in 5 different cocktail mixes. I had a Margarita packet and a Pina Colada packet. Although I love both margaritas and mint mojitos, I went with the margarita ice cream mix, because I always keep tequila in my freezer. Plus, margaritas are my favorite summer cocktail and ice cream is my favorite dessert. So, I knew this was the winner.

First thing you do is pour a chilled water or milk into a bowl. I chose milk, because I felt didn’t want to take the chance that water would dilute the taste and texture. However, afterwards, I’m sure water would work just as fine. Next you add the Boozy Creamery mix into the bowl and use a hand mixer set on high for 2-7 minutes. You want it to mix into a creamy and wavy texture, which I got around 6 minutes.

Once mixed, you add one ounce of chilled tequila and mix it all together. I did it for a about 30 seconds. Afterwards, you pour the mix into a container and cover and place it in the freezer for 2-6 hours. I let it freeze overnight to insure that it would be the perfect. Once it’s done, sit back and enjoy a scoop or two.

I’m sure you’re wondering what it tastes like, right? Can you taste the alcohol or not? It tastes like a creamy, frozen margarita and it was perfect! However, please follow the directions and only put the amount of alcohol the direction gives.  If you add more alcohol, it will alter the taste and texture of the final product. I took the rest over to my BFs house, because he loves margaritas. Needless to say, there was none left to take back home or for pictures. *insert sad face*

If you’re not a drinker or want to make some for the entire family, just omit the alcohol for virgin margarita ice cream. Fun for all! Check out the video below to see how fast it is to make.
