Over the summer, I’ve mostly been wearing my hair in it’s natural curly state. In the past, it’s been a struggle for me to embrace my natural curls for this long, but I’m doing it. I’ve been natural for over 10 years now and the culture for curly hair has changed dramatically. For one, big beauty brands have created new lines and collections for natural curly hair. One brand that I think has done a great job embracing the need for products for naturals and curly hair is Pantene. Actually, I think they were one of the first big beauty brands to do it with their Pantene Truly Naturals line. It wasn’t the best products, but it was an effort. However, they have revamped the line with new products and new name; Pantene Gold.
A few weeks ago, while dragging myself to Walgreens for medicine and cough drops, I picked up a few products from the line. Walgreens was having a buy 2 get 1 free deal that I couldn’t pass up. So, I picked up the co-wash, leave-in detangling milk, and the hydrating oil. After trying them for awhile, I think it’s time to share my results and opinions.
