Oh, do I have any plans tonight? Just sitting in front of the TV rejecting all phone calls watching Scandal.

It seems like Scandal has been on one of those one and a half year breaks ( a la’ Mad Men), but it’s only been a few months since we found out that the Olivia Pope’s own father was trying to have her killed and possibly exposed that she was sleeping with the president. Oh, child….that was even too much juice to type.

Since the new season starts tonight, Kerry Washington a.k.a Olivia Pope has been doing her press rounds to promote the show, which would have people tuning in if she did them or not. Last night, she brought all her fabulousness to The Late Show with David Letterman. I have yet to see her not look breathtakingly beautiful! Ugh…

Although she looked effortless chic in her Prabul Garang dress, I couldn’t stop but inhale and obsess over her layered auburn ombre’ curled coif. So subtle and chic and the picture above was candid by paparazzi!! I can’t deal.

Are you watching Scandal tonight like a good gladiator? Find me on Twitter tonight giving my two cent commentary.

TRESS ENVY: Jennifer Lopez in Cosmo Magazine October 2013

TE_JLO_cosmo_oct2013

Ever since I saw Jennifer Lopez images from the latest edition of Cosmo last week, I’ve been super obsessed with her shoulder length, long layer bob and long side swept bangs and dimensional golden highlights. I guess one of the reasons I’m thinking and looking at this picture everyday is because I recently cut a long layered bob and don’t know what to do with, but now, I think I have an idea…;)!

Wash n Style Wednesday….Ojon Damage Reverse Treatment

I refuse to let dry hair be a burden on me this fall and winter!

Since I’m in the process of growing my hair out, I’m aiming for some crack of my butt length a la’ my college years, I’ve become obsessed with having long and strong healthy hair. So far, it’s about mid-back and so far, so good.

When it comes to growing my hair, I’ve found that I need to do 2 different things: keep a clean scalp to promote the growth and condition and moisturize the hair to prevent shedding and breakage. Simple.

I love hair treatments, especially deep conditioners. Weekly, at the least, deep conditioning is crucial to my hair care regimen. For the past month or so, every time I wash my hair, I follow it up with a deep conditioning and it has made a total difference in my hair. So happy.

A hair treatment that I would love to incorporate back into my life is Ojon Damage Reverse Restorative hair treatment. A few years ago, I received a deluxe sample of this from a friend and was instantly blown away by the almost instant results. I mean, soft and strong hair at the same time on deck every day! Ladies, beyond your wildest, thickest, and frizzy hair nightmare. This is worth the kinda hefty price for a hair product, but that’s how it usually works…unfortunately.

Anyway, go try this product out!

Wash n Style Wednesday….Bumble and Bumble Black Hair Powder

Hair powder. Sounds interesting. BLACK hair powder. Sounds intriguing!

Bumble and Bumble make great hair products, especially this one hair spray that is ridiculous amazing that I’ll share with you one day. Anyway, their latest product that I’m over the moon happy that I found was their Black Hair Powder. Its a dry shampoo for hair dark brown and all the way up to the blackest black.

Recently, I decided to dye my hair back to its natural black/brown color. Of course, it looks more black than brown, but it should be perfect after a couple of more washes. Also, I’m in the middle of my bi-weekly no heat for 2 weeks and wearing my hair naturally curly, which means avoiding stripping shampoo like the plague. So, dry shampoo is an essential to have in my beauty closet.

dry shampoos usually leave a white residue, which not good, especially for dark hair. So, this B&B product is pretty ingenious and long overdue.
