Holiday Gift Guide: Conair Xtreme Instant Rollers

I can speak from first-hand experience that these Xtreme Heat rollers by Conair have pulled me out some time crunched mornings that didn’t allot me the time to plug in a curling iron, waiting for it to heat up, and parting my hair.

Now, I had a some electric rollers, but they were super craptastic and just instantly assumed that all electric rollers were not meant for me, well that is before I got a chance to try these. They come with various sizes, easy to handle, and heat up in a snap. These heat rollers have gotten me out of some pretty intense hair situations and time crunches.

So, if there is a someone on your shopping list that’s always rushing and/or never seems to have the time to curl their hair in the morning, then you might want to pencil this as a gift for them.

Glamour Puss- How to Create the Perfect Curls

If there is one look that screams Hollywood glamour it has to be gorgeous tumbling curls. From Madonna to Sarah Jessica Parker, curls have been very popular with celebs on the red carpet and what’s more the look is easy to achieve at home.

You don’t need loads of fancy styling tools; instead you can use you ghds to create gorgeous curls. The beautiful thing about ghd hair stylers is because they have a rounded barrel they can be used to create curls as well as straight hair.

In order to curl your hair you need to section it – the easiest way to do this is to use your finger to section of a line of hair and clip that out of the way. Then if you need to, further separate out your hair; the number of sections will depend on how thick your hair is.

Once you have separated your hair into sections you can need to spritz those sections with styling spray. Then place your ghd stylers at the roots of each section and simply rotate it 180 degrees, gliding it slowly through the hair. Once this has been done catch the curl and in order to increase the curl you can twist it round your finger. For a really natural look you can alternate the way you rotate the styler – either towards the head or away from it. If you only want to curl the bottom half of the hair simply smooth the GHDs through the top half of the hair and start the curling process wherever you want to.

If you want separated and dishevelled curls you can run your fingers through the curls once they have been styled. This will define the curls and make them loose and separated, and most of all natural.

Once you have your finished curls spray them with a finishing and fixing spray in order to hold them in place for gorgeous bouncy curls. What’s more, you will need only one easy hair styler; you don’t need to get a curling tong or another hair styling device but instead can create sexy curls with a ghd styler.

You can find more hairstyle tips online at the ghd website. They have a dedicated guide here where there are expert tips and tutorials on how to create the best looks.

Review: HANair Professional Hair Dryer

I’ve had the pleasure and displeasure of trying a few blow dryers in my life. I’ve been an air dryer most of my life, but there are times when time is of the essence and I just can’t wait for the air to swoop in and handle business. So, I need a blow dryer in my arsenal of hair tools and I might have possibly been introduced to the best hair dryer, yet.

Awhile back, Missiko.com sent me this HANA hair blow dryer to test and it was probably awe and love at first strong blow. I’ve used it so many times on my thick, curly, and frequently sometimes unruly hair. I’ve used it for blowouts that have made my hair super straight, soft, and shiny. However, the  moment I knew that I was in the presence of a keeper is when I needed to diffuse my natural curls. First of all, my diffuser fits it (Yay!), but I when I turned on the dryer, it blowed my diffuser straight across the bathroom and into the tub. Yeah, it really blows; in a good way.  After getting my diffuser to stay on McGuyver style, it was like being introduced to someone or in this case something that you know will forever be a part of you life.

The HANA dryer is a bit on the pricey side, but it’s so worth it! It’s lightweight and dries like dream. Definitely an beauty investment piece.

Review: Conair Infiniti Pro Blowdryer

Recently, Conair sent me their Infinite Pro Salon Performance AC Styling Tool to test and review. After using it a few times by now, I’m ready to give my HONEST review. So keep reading to see what I thought about this blow dryer.

When it comes to washing my thick, long, and super curly hair, I tend to let it air dry before I break out the flatiron. The less heat on my hair, the better. However, in the winter, I tend to semi dry my hair with a blow dryer and then flatiron. I’m not a fan of this method nor am I fan of catching a cold because I’m walking around with wet hair in cold air.

So, this was the perfect time for me to try a out this blow dryer. The Infiniti Pro Styling tool boasts 1875 watt AC motor which is the same motor typically designed and used in salons, while being 15% lighter than most AC motor blow dryers.

Basically, if you are looking for a salon quality blow dryer at an affordable price, then I suggest you get this one. It features 3 heat/ 2 speed switches for you to control the heat and airflow. It also comes with 2 attachments that are perfect for control the airflow when trying to blow dry your hair straight. The attachments, by the way, are super durable and pop right in. However, the one thing that I wish this blowdryer came with was a diffuser attachment for curly hair. Luckily, my diffuser slides right on, but it would be nice to have one that pops for extra stability like the attachments included.

All in all, I’m so happy to have this new and awesome blowdryer! FYI, my favorite curling iron is a Conair Infiniti ceramic curler(that I bought a couple of years ago) and I love it hardcore. So, I should have known that I would have a fancy for this blowdryer.
