M.A.C x Disney’s Maleficent

It’s been more than a minute since I’ve been amped for a MAC collection, because I’ve ventured off from M.A.C for a while, because the number of collections rolling every other day was just too much to take. H0wever, there have been a few collections from MAC collections, such as M.A.C loved Riri, including this latest collection for Disney’s Maleficent.

The collection features sultry and sensuous shades for eyes, face, lips and nails, including face powders, lipglasses and eyelashes.

The movie is set to hit theaters this summer and the MAC collection will hit maccosmetics.com on May 8th and stores May 15th through June 26, 2014. Check out the collection below.

Nah….I’m good.

So, it’s that time of the year when my face and makeup join forces and fight off any makeup primer that I attempt to use to stop the greasy face look. Some have succeed, but many have failed and you can add Rimmel’s Fix and Perfect PRO to the latter.

I will admit that I had super high hopes for this one, because the original/non-pro (NOTE: would that make it amateur? eh.) Fix and Perfect primer did a great job at keeping my makeup in place for the majority of the day. It was so lovely. Therefore, I just naturally assumed that the pro version would be a slam dunk. WRONG!!

So, by noon, after only three hours, my skin was super oily and greasy. FAIL. Not to mention, the scent made my already sensitive eyes burn when applying it to my face and not even under  my eyes. So…nah, I’m good.

M.A.C Playland

Now that Spring has officially sprung, M.A.C is releasing their new limited edition line called Playland. The collectiond features lipsticks, lipglasses, lip pencils and pigment which are chopped full of fun bright and bold colors which are perfect for Spring.

Lupita N’yongo for Lancome’

Academy Award winner, Lupita N’yongo, has been swooped up to be the new face of Lancome’.

The flawless skin actress will serve as the brand ambassador for the line, making her the first black endorser to hold the title. Past ambassadors include Julia Roberts, Kate Winslet, and Penelope’ Cruz.

The first visuals for this endorsement will begin to roll out this summer. This is definitely her moment. Congrats to her!
