OBSESSED:Crabtree & Evelyn Lip Butters

Last week, Crabtree & Evelyn sent me a box some products from their latest collection that I dish with you about in the very near future. However, also in that box (as seen on my Facebook and Twitter pages) was three tubes of their new Ultra-Moisturizing Lip Butters.

These lovely little tubes are filled with ingredients that practically ensure soft moisturized lips such as shea, cocoa, illipe, and kokum butter and mango butter.

The formula is a thick texture, but almost instantly melts when it touches your lips without a greasy and or sticky feel.

They are available in  Vanilla Creme Brulee (think: vanilla cupcake), Creme de Menthe (mint), and Citron Creme and Honey (awesome!). Although they are scented, the scent is soft and not overbearing, which I appreciate!

I love using them at night after I slightly exfoliate my lips by brushing them with a wet toothbrush and them apply lip butter afterward. That way, I wake up to soft and supple lips!

These are available currently available at www.Crabtree-Evelyn.com and all CrabTree & Evelyn stores. Just in time for Valentine’s Day!

Review: Conair Infiniti Pro Blowdryer

Recently, Conair sent me their Infinite Pro Salon Performance AC Styling Tool to test and review. After using it a few times by now, I’m ready to give my HONEST review. So keep reading to see what I thought about this blow dryer.

When it comes to washing my thick, long, and super curly hair, I tend to let it air dry before I break out the flatiron. The less heat on my hair, the better. However, in the winter, I tend to semi dry my hair with a blow dryer and then flatiron. I’m not a fan of this method nor am I fan of catching a cold because I’m walking around with wet hair in cold air.

So, this was the perfect time for me to try a out this blow dryer. The Infiniti Pro Styling tool boasts 1875 watt AC motor which is the same motor typically designed and used in salons, while being 15% lighter than most AC motor blow dryers.

Basically, if you are looking for a salon quality blow dryer at an affordable price, then I suggest you get this one. It features 3 heat/ 2 speed switches for you to control the heat and airflow. It also comes with 2 attachments that are perfect for control the airflow when trying to blow dry your hair straight. The attachments, by the way, are super durable and pop right in. However, the one thing that I wish this blowdryer came with was a diffuser attachment for curly hair. Luckily, my diffuser slides right on, but it would be nice to have one that pops for extra stability like the attachments included.

All in all, I’m so happy to have this new and awesome blowdryer! FYI, my favorite curling iron is a Conair Infiniti ceramic curler(that I bought a couple of years ago) and I love it hardcore. So, I should have known that I would have a fancy for this blowdryer.

I’m looking younger?

For the past couple of months, I’ve been getting shocked looks from people when I tell them that I’m 29. They always seem to reply back with some variation of “I thought you were younger!” I’m not sure how I feel about this, because I’ve never been one to obsess over age or looking younger. All I’ve wanted was to look my age and/or not too much older.

However, I will admit that hearing I look in my early 20s doesn’t hurt either. I think I can attest all the compliments to my latest obsession with anti aging skincare products and moisturizing.

Since the weather is getting colder, my skin is getting drier. So, I’ve been breaking out the heavy moisturizers and I would love to try this Shea Butter Face cream from L’Occitane, plus you all know how much I love shea butter products. I was browsing around their website looking for some Christmas gifts for my boss (She swoons their hand creams) and saw this face cream and couldn’t help adding to the cart for myself. Look for an update soon!

Lavender Shea Butter? I want some!

I finally ran out of the shea butter I purchased back in the spring and I need to buy some real quick. I love shea butter, because it loves my skin! It absorbs instantly and without a greasy feel. Although I love me some shea butter, the smell can be a little too fishy for me.

I was browsing around Meltiva, an online store that carries certified organic skin care products, and ran into a selection of various shea butter including one that smells like lavender. I love shea butter and lavender, so this is right up my alley.

Just like the rest of Meltiva products, its certified organic and natural. Plus, one of the main reason I love shea butter is because you can use it on your skin and hair, which the BF will appreciate. I put shea butter on my ends at night and he came over one morning and said my hair smelled like fish! You never want to hear your boyfriend says anything on you smells like fish, even your hair! LOL

Anyway, I might need to try this!

Liposuction for Body Enchancement?

Liposuction is the surgical removal of unwanted fat utilizing an instrument called a cannula. This wand-like instrument is made of stainless steel, and acts as a suction device that removes fat cells in the face and body.

There are different liposuction procedures. Ultrasound assisted liposuction or (UAL) sends sound waves to skin areas. This technique changes fat into liquid for easier removal. Tuminescent liposuction injects large doses of anesthetic into the treatment area.

Liposuction is also performed using a motor powered cannulla. This is known as power assisted liposuction or (PAL) and allows the surgeon to use smaller movements this makes the experience more comfortable for the patient.

Benefits of Liposuction

Liposuction is effective for removing cellulite from the face and body. If your considering this type of surgery it’s considered safe and can be used in combination with other cosmetic procedures. The major benefits of liposuction include better health resulting from fat loss and overall appearance improvements.

Doctors report that weight loss is the best way to prevent heart disease, diabetes and certain cancers. Liposuction can’t be used to remove large areas of fat. It’s best usage is for ridding the body of those last 10 pounds that diet and exercise didn’t eliminate.

Liposuction Costs

The costs involved with liposuction are determined by the procedure you choose, as well as which areas of the body you intend to target. Total costs are calculated by the number of treatments performed. Most procedures fall in the range of $15,000 to $7,500. Liposuction is not covered by insurance but your surgeon may offer finance plans.

Best Candidates for Liposuction

If your of normal weight with healthy skin but have specific problem areas such as stomach, thighs, buttocks, hips, chin or neck, you should respond well to liposuction. Successful liposuction surgery depends on a few factors. Age, skin condition, weight and health status must be considered. Liposuction should not be the choice for those with diabetes, heart problems, a history of blood clots or compromised immune system. Those whose breasts are out of proportion with the body, experiencing back and neck pain should choose liposuction.
