Powder Face Masks

For the past few days, I’ve been sick with one of those stuffy head, itchy throat, and sip hot tea all day types of colds. It was horrible. Not to mention that it was during my scheduled vacation days from work. Despite some occasional coughing, I’m back to about 90%. So, to help feel better, last night I decided to reward my skin and give it a facial. After browsing the vast collection of face masks, I decided to use the Aztec Secret Indian Clay. I’ve only used this mask once, but can’t remember why. Probably, because powder face masks aren’t as quick as the sheet masks that I’ve been boo-ed up with for the past year or so.

Powder versions of skincare products are still fairly new, including powder face cleansers. However, powder face mask are started to gain traction. No matter your skin type or issues, there is a powder face mask out there for you.

Lazy Ways to Remove Makeup

We all have those moments when we feel too exhausted to wash our face to remove our makeup. I’ve been in that position far too many times that I would like. However, I recently found some lazy ways to remove makeup after a long day and decided to share.

lazy ways to remove makeup

Please note, if possible, please thoroughly wash your face every night. This will help prevent breakouts, spread bacteria from your face to sleeping areas, and way more other reasons. However, these lazy beauty techniques are easy to do from the comfort of your bed or in front of your TV, which is where I tend to do this. Plus, they do a pretty good job or removing your makeup and cleansing your face.

Harry’s vs. Hairy

All of my hair grows thick and razors designed for women don’t give me smooth shaves. Therefore, I’ve always preferred using razors designed for men to shave. Men’s razors give me a closer shave than women’s razors, in my opinion. My brother has the same thick hair problems as me. Also, like me, his skin is also sensitive and he has to be very selective when it comes to what razors and shaving products he could use. For the past year, he has been having great results using Harry’s shaving system. So, when I got the chance to try Harry’s for myself, I had to see what all the hype was about.

Melhores Sistemas de Substituição de Cabelo, Toupeado, Peça de Cabelo

In case you didn’t know, Harry’s makes high-quality razors and shaving products at a price point that’s very comparable with razors you pick up at your local retailers. They also offer shaving creams and balms to help the shaving process, but more on that in a minute.

Even though I mostly use men’s razors, I was still a little apprehensive about trying this system, because it might be a little “harsher” than disposable ones from the drugstore. I was so wrong.

How I Use Facial Sprays in My Skincare Routine

If you’ve followed this blog or me on Instagram, then you would have some sort of knowledge of my love of facial water, especially my Mario Badescu facial spray with rosewater. I initially introduced my skin to facial sprays to refresh my skin during the day. However, they became a game changer when I discovered that there are many uses for facial sprays. Those newfound uses made me realize that facial sprays were here to stay in my life.

uses of facial sprays

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve become very obsessed and interested with the concept of washing my face. I’m sure this initially seems odd when we’ve been washing our faces for decades. However, I pondered “Was I washing my face correctly?” and that led me down a rabbit hole of articles and videos about the process of washing your face. One video I ran across was How To Clean Your Face on Into The Gloss. In the video, NYC facialist, Isabelle Bellis, prepped her skin with facial spray water before washing her face. I was instantly intrigued and had to try it for myself.

Minimal Skincare Travel Bag

minimun skincare travel bag

All weekend, I’ve been planning and dreading having to report for jury duty this morning. However, I am one of those people that hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. All weekend, I’ve been trying to prepare for the worst case scenario, which is being sequestered for a trial. When you are sequestered, that means you have to be away and isolated from your life and everything in it. That means no phone, contact with people, or access to television or newspapers. This also means you have to pack up the bare minimum things you need for at least a week. Therefore, I spent some of this weekend preparing for that by coming up with my minimum skincare travel bag essentials.
