Last week, I stopped by LOFT to check out some of the new winter items coming and the plus size collection. In the process, I fell in love with all the pieces and how easy they were to mix and match outfits.
Being able to find pieces that you can seamless mix with other pieces will always be one of my favorite things to do. Although there were countless pieces, there were 5 key pieces that are worth investing in to create numerous outfit options.

In case you aren’t aware, July 4th is one of my favorite holidays – BBQ, fireworks, and free off day from work. Aside from the 4th encompassing some of my favorite things, it’s also a great reason to buy a cute new summer look. When I was kid, my mom would buy me and my brother a new 4th of July outfit every year. Even if we just wearing it to eat grilled hot dogs and watch the adults light fireworks in the middle of the street. However, those are still some of my favorite childhood memories to this day.
Unless I’ve been invited to 4th festivities, I mainly just wear whatever I can concoct from the clothes in my closet. I mean, I’ve accumulated enough options over the years. However, I occasionally might pick up a nice comfy tee or simple sandals, because of all the holiday sales. This weekend, I ordered this tie-hem tee from H&M and plan to break out this dark denim skirt that I got from Simply Be last fall. A love a good casually styled casual look paired with simple accessories. I also love that the straw bags from last summer are still in for this summer.

Up until my mid-20s, I used to hate traveling for vacation. It was just an absolute headache and that was back when I didn’t have to be responsible for any of the financing. However, I eventually learned to not only like traveling, but love it. I was able to do this my simplifying as many elements of traveling as possible, starting with creating a guide to packing for vacation.
When I pack for vacation, I start by being realistic of what I’m going to need. I loathe over-packing. Not only are your carrying around waste, but depending on if you’re flying, it can cost you a lot of money. So, I’ve become very conscious of what I really need to bring when on vacation. Not to mention, bringing too many options will leave room for you to overthink. Who wants to overthink anything on vacation, let alone which color shorts to wear? Not me. This past weekend, I came to the realization that Memphis isn’t getting a Spring this year. Having to deal with 90+ degrees weather in the middle of May is ridiculous. So, to help soothe this depressing understand, I decide to start planning my summer wardrobe.
