Lazy Girl’s Guide To Packing For Vacation

Up until my mid-20s, I used to hate traveling for vacation. It was just an absolute headache and that was back when I didn’t have to be responsible for any of the financing. However, I eventually learned to not only like traveling, but love it. I was able to do this my simplifying as many elements of traveling as possible, starting with creating a guide to packing for vacation.

When I pack for vacation, I start by being realistic of what I’m going to need. I loathe over-packing. Not only are your carrying around waste, but depending on if you’re flying, it can cost you a lot of money. So, I’ve become very conscious of what I really need to bring when on vacation. Not to mention, bringing too many options will leave room for you to overthink. Who wants to overthink anything on vacation, let alone which color shorts to wear? Not me. Minus the basic denim shorts and basic tees, here’s what I include in my guide to packing for vacation.

Thinking About Relocating…Again

Trying to be a legit and responsible adult can be so stressful, even for single(ish), childless me. These last few months have been testing me and my resilience, but I’ve been able to bounce back. Dope Duffel Bags To Carry

In the words of one of my favorite rappers, Jeezy, I need a vacation! So, I’m counting down the days until Friday, because I will be off until next Thursday. After the last few weeks I’ve had, professionally and personally, I had to cash in some of my vacation days. Since the 4th of July/paid holiday fell on a Tuesday, I decided to take the Monday before and Wednesday after off. So, I might use this time to pack one of my duffel bags and take a quick solo weekend dress getaway.

Summer Bucket List 2017

The official first day of summer is less than a week away and I’m ready. Well, it’s already been too hot to tolerate, but I already knew this summer was going to be unbearable. Recently, I decided that I wanted to do some things this summer I’ve never done or haven’t done in ages. I mean, as much as I enjoy staying in the house watching Netflix while a rotating fan cools me off, it’s not living. Even though it’s going to be miserably hot, I want to live life more and create my solo summer plans.

I’m approaching this list as my mini summer bucket list. Keep reading to see what I plan to try and do this summer.

Pretty Passport Covers

I lost my passport. Ugh. What I hate the most about losing it is that I have to go through the daunting process of getting another one. I’m not sure what it takes for you to get a passport, but for me, I have to schedule an appointment to go to one of the post offices with all the information I can find about myself. Afterwards, we leave with a generic passport and blank face photo of ourselves. It’s definitely worth noting that the available appointments are scarce and far apart. Hassle City!

So, I figured that a great way to reward myself and hopefully encourage me to use it sooner than later is to find it a pretty dress A.K.A pretty passport covers.

One of the awesome benefits of having a distinct, maybe even brightly colored passport cover, is that it will make it easier for you to spot and location among a travel bag of small airplane size bottles and other travel bag necessities.

So, if you have a that basic navy passport cover and want to spruce it up, check out these Instagram worthy passport covers.
