LINK-END ROUND-UP: July 5, 2019 | STAINED COUTURE

“Yay” for Friday! Yesterday, unexpectedly, my weekend turned into a 4-day weekend. Initially, I was supposed to go to work today, but I was told I didn’t have to and it was the best news. However, not for the reason you think, but I’ll share more on that in the future…maybe. šŸ™‚

This weekend, I have a lot of work to catch up. Ugh. Plus, the main project needs to be done by tonight. So, I’ll probably fall into a Starbucks to help me get it done. Yes, I’ve turned into one of those people you see in Starbucks click clacking on a laptop. However, I totally get why so many do that. Not only is there free wifi, instant access to coffee, but you’re also working around others working. Starbucks is the first work share space.

Other than doing some boring work, I will also try to stay indoors to watch season 3 of Stranger Things. I can’t wait to watch it and after the week I’ve had – I deserve.

Hears to a lovely weekend of rest and reflection. Enjoy the reads in this week’s Link-End Round-Up.

LUST-HAVE LIST: July 2019

Stained Coutureā€™s monthly series, Lust-Have List, features items Iā€™m wanting this month.

LUST-HAVE LIST: July 2019 | STAINED COUTURE

It’s July, which means we have officially reached the half-way mark of 2019. Aside for July having one of my favorite holidays and birthdays for my dad and sister, it’s the beginning of a transition going on in my life. The last few months have been mad stressful, but the stress is starting to lift this month. Lord permitting, August will be the official start of a new chapter in my life, which I’m so excited.

I haven’t been shopping much and have been hitting empty on so many products. Therefore, this list was about to be a filled with makeup and skincare, but I digress. I’ll probably do a new beauty wants post soon, instead. Thankfully, I was able to reign it in and find some other non-beauty products to want and stalk.

So, check out the few things I want this month.

LUST-HAVE LIST: July 2019

  • The Austin Crossbody Bag – This crossbody is a perfect bag for summer, because it’s not too big or small. However, the cool structured design and bright red shade will work all year.
  • Topshop Fawn Studded Platform Sandals – Do you see these sandals and how chic they look? They’re also available in black, but I can’t pass on most cognac brown leather accessories.
  • Born This Way Super Coverage Foundation – I recently ran out of my Bare Minerals foundation, which I loved to the last drop. Although I do plan to repurchase it in the future, I want to finally try to the Born This Way foundation, but the high coverage formula. I love superĀ  coverage foundations, because they can also double as a concealer.
  • Lolita Huggie Earrings – Despite me really being into statement earrings, I can’t fight this new trend of huggie earrings. These super cute huggies from Shashi are at the top of my list and are available in red or clear. I want both, but I chose the red pair, because ruby is the birthstone for July.
  • Verb Ghost Oil – I’m currently going through my annual phase of wanting to take care of my hair. I’ve heard of Verb, but never saw a product that made me want to buy it. Well, that is until I saw this Ghost Oil, which is a daily, lightweight oil for your hair. Plus, it’s supposed to make the hair shaft feel soft and look glossy. I want it.

LINK-END ROUND-UP: June 28, 2019

Stained Coutureā€™s weekly series, Link-End Round-Up, features interesting reads I read from around the internet this week.

LINK-END ROUND-UP: June 28, 2019 | STAINED COUTURE

Hey, ya’ll, hey. *deep sigh* I’m so glad that it’s Friday, but I honestly don’t know why. I spent most of this week off of work, but did a lot of running around. I had some meetings, interviews, and other obligations, which is probably why this week felt really long.

Also, this is the last Link-End Round-Up of June 2019, which feels like it lasted for a while. June is the first month in a while that feels like it lasted forever, because I was planting a lot of life seeds. However, those seeds have started to grow and they should start sprouting leaves in July and (hopefully) fully bloom in August.

As for this weekend, I plan to lock myself in the house and get some work done. My freelance work has picked up over the past couple of months and I’m super grateful. However, working for yourself and from home can get overwhelming and boring, but it’s what I’m doing this weekend. Plus, the weather is going to be somewhat crappy, which makes it a perfect time to stay in the house.

Well, I hope you all have a great weekend and try to do something that makes you feel good. Plus, check out the reads in this week’s Link-End Round-Up.

Raise your cup of coffee, tea, or whatever you’re sipping this morning, because we’ve reached another Friday.Ā  I really hope you all had an amazing week, because I did. Despite me having some stressful moments at work, life outside of work was pretty great. After being in an intense season of praying, I finally got some great news. Actually, I can’t wait to share it with ya’ll. I’m in a really good spirit and I feel that this is just the beginning. I definitely feel blessed and that my prayers and hardwork is paying off.

I’ve been on go mode for the past few weekends and I’m not complaining. However, tomorrow, I just want to spend most of my day at home chilling and doing some work. I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve had a chill day and I really need one. I deserve!

June is almost over and I want to end this month off with a bang, because July is about to be a handful and I can’t wait. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the reads in this week’s Link-End Round-up as much as I did.

Have a great weekend and stop by Monday to see what product I’ve been loving.

eSTYLIST: Hey Summer 2019

Did you know that tomorrow is the first day of Summer? Well, I did, but it almost slippedĀ  my mind. Sometimes it can be hard to remember the official start of Summer, because most people kick off Summer on Memorial Day. Not to mention, it’s been beyond hot for a couple of months now. Well, I’ve been thinking about what’s going to be my go-to outfit for the Summer. I hate being hot, which overpowers any self-conscious and body insecurities. So, this eStylist is just one no inhabited outfit that I might be spotted in Summer 2019. It’s too hot to care. *shrug*

eSTYLIST: Hey, Summer 2019 | STAINED COUTURE

eSTYLIST: Hey Summer 2019

  • Oversized Rib Knitted T-Shirt, $40, TopShop – Although this would more of a regular or fitted fit on me, this ribbed tee doesn’t look “too” casual.
  • Wide-cut Shorts, $17.99, H&M – I’ve been wanting to find some cute plus-size wide leg shorts and these are perfect.
  • Shashi Barbados Earrings, $46, Shopbop – Straw hoop earrings with with white lucite detail!? Gimme!
  • Straw Bucket Bag, $29.99, Target – I’m so glad that straw bags are still in this summer and with more style options. I’m obsessed with this bucket bag.
  • Cadirecia Cognac Sandals, $70, Aldo Shoes – I still love an ornate sandal and this don’t disappoint. Plus, they match my shell necklace.
