ITEM OF THE WEEK: Beyond Perfecting Foundation

A few weeks ago, I an out of the foundation I was using and used it as a good excuse to try a new foundation. During the same Ultra trip when I bought that detoxifying scrub stick, I purchased this Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer. Clinique will always hold a place in my heart, but it was the first “big girl” brand that I used. However, I currently don’t have that many products from Clinique and haven’t used a foundation from them in years.

Since I was in the market for a new foundation and Clinique is a brand that my skin loves, I decided to give this foundation a try. After using it practically everyday for the past few weeks, I think it’s definitely worthy of being this week’s Item Of The Week.

When it comes to my ideal foundation formula, I prefer full coverage foundations. The main reason I prefer full-coverage is to help cover my hyperpigmentation on my cheeks and old acne scars. However, I only apply full coverage to that area and blend out the edges. Another good use of high coverage foundations is to use them as a concealer on days when you need little coverage. Needless to say, this foundation is designed to serve both of those purposes.

The formula of this foundation is full coverage, but blendable. Also, or it to be a full coverage foundation, it’s very easy to use and blend. It doesn’t “settle” to fast to allow you blend it out or not. Also, I can’t not mention the applicator, which is a jumbo doe foot applicator. The doe foot helps you apply the foundation without having to use your hands. Also, you can apply the foundation to target area or to conceal.

The only flaw you might find wit this foundation is the lack of many color selections for deeper tones. Other than that, this foundation is worth trying for under $30.

Have you tried Clinique’s Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer? Thoughts?
