In the words of one of my favorite rappers, Jeezy, I need a vacation! So, I’m counting down the days until Friday, because I will be off until next Thursday. After the last few weeks I’ve had, professionally and personally, I had to cash in some of my vacation days. Since the 4th of July/paid holiday fell on a Tuesday, I decided to take the Monday before and Wednesday after off. So, I might use this time to pack one of my duffel bags and take a quick solo weekend dress getaway.

In college, I learned the importance of having a duffel bag, because you never know you need one until you do. Duffel bags are clutch for overnight visits, quick weekend getaways, or a gym bag. When it comes to travel, one of my favorite tips is to distinguish your bags from others. This tip comes in handy when your waiting for your luggage in baggage claim among a sea of black suitcases. So, here are some duffel bags that I think are dope and deserve your attention.

This Patagonia Duffel Bag is unique and multi-functional. There are pockets all over and inside this bag for you to carry and conceal all of valuables and important information. This bag is really great if you plan to spend a lot of time outdoors thanks to the waterproof exterior. This bag is also available in black and a green/red option, but this orange/purple version is too dope to not be my first option.

This the getaway duffel bag from ban.do is more cute than dope. However, it’s still different enough that they chances of someone having the same bag as you in the same place as you is slim to none.

This Floral Duffle Bag by Herschel Supply is not your ordinary floral print. Neon flowers on a black background makes this bag a standout option for all.

Camouflage is my go-to print when I want to add an edge to my wardrobe. This camo Hurley Renegade Printed Duffel Bag is perfect for outdoor adventures as well as quick trips.

Finally, this Satin Duffel Bag from See by Chloe is on my to-get list. Well, once I catch it on sale, of course. I love the retro look with tropical applique logo. Love this bag!
