Football season is here and I’m ready fro it. Tomorrow is the first official NFL game of the season. However, my BF has decided to host a watch party this Sunday for when all the other teams play. Thankfully, I don’t have to be there since it’s a “Guys Only”, but I did offer to provide snacks for this testosterone shindig. When you hear “snacks” you might think of few bags of chips and any other food that can be grab with your hand shoveled in your mouth. However, I’m think less bags of chips and more easy appetizers that are game day friendly.
So, I’ve been scouring the Pinterest like crazy for simple apps that are easy, tasty, but still a little manly. I found a few recipes that fit the build and even a dessert that I know will win the day, no matter if your team loses or not. Keep reading to see some prime game day appetizers.
Tacos are usually an easy food to please a crowd, but they can get messy. These crunchy taco cups are perfect to get the taste of tacos without the spillage of toppings. Plus, if there are any leftovers, which I doubt, they would be perfect for lunch the next day.
Mac and Cheese is another crowd favorite, but you can easily make into bite size snacks. Just take your favorite mac and cheese recipe and scoop – preferably one not too cheesy. However, you can try this mini mac and cheese bites recipe from Old House to New House, which looks easy to make and delicious to eat.
When I was initially naming out possible snacks for the BF, he let out an instant “HELL YEA!” when I showed him this muffin tin potato and bacon cups recipe. Every bite is like taking a bite of a loaded baked potato.
Many years ago, while attending a friend’s Super Bowl party, was the first time I heard of and tried a Snickers dip. Aside from the obvious ingredient of pieces of Snickers candy, it also is made of cream cheese and sugar. You can serve it with pretzels, cookies, and fresh fruit. Not only was that dip decadent and delicious, but it was completely gone in less than 30 minutes.
