Embracing Prints for Fall with Simply Be

I am a creature of habit that loves to be comfortable. I also love for things to be easy. Therefore, I can get stuck and start to hate everything. One thing I learned about trying to get unstuck is to get uncomfortable. A few months ago, I realized that I had become stuck in my closet of basic pieces that I can switch and mix with each other. So, I decided to get out of my norm of basic solid pieces and start embracing prints for fall.

Don’t get me wrong, I love and will continue to mostly buy solids, but prints are slowly becoming my jam. So much so, that I’ve worn and documented a lot of prints over the past few weeks. So, interested in my journey of embracing prints with some cute pieces that I got from Simply Be, then keep reading.

I’m so glad that this week is almost over and the original photos I had taken for these photos got corrupted and deleted for ever. So, these photos might get replaced with better pictures in the very near future. *wink, wink*

Prints for Fall: Fun leopard prints and florals

SimplyBe Sports Rib Tee

The next print that I’ve been loving is this Sports Rib T-Shirt from Simply Be. I love wearing this shirt with a simple black pant and cardigan at work. However, this tee also looks great with black jeans and booties. My sister borrowed it and paired it with some white jeans and I can’t wait to do the same in the spring.

I have a feeling that my go-to fall dresses is going to be floral prints paired with dark tights and a denim jacket.

One of the easiest ways to embrace a print is with a dress. So, I’ve been eyeing and wearing a few printed dresses. The first one is this frill detail dress. I’m a sucker for dark floral prints, because they can work through fall and winter. I love the fill detail at the shoulder.

Simply Be Tea Dress

I love a dress that can be cute when worn with heels, boots, or sneakers. That’s why I love this tea dress, because it looks cute any shoe, solo, or layered. I was initially drawn to it, because it reminded me of this dress I had in the 90s that I used to wear with combat boots. It was how 5th grade me tried to take on the grunge style. I might finally buy me a pair of Doc Martens to relive my youth. However, for now, I love wearing these with my platform Puma sneakers and black tights.
