EMPTIES: December 2020 | STAINED COUTURE

Before it gets too late into January, let me go ahead and drop my Empties post for December. As you can see from the picture, I really didn’t use up too many products. This can be attributed to be overwhelmed by work, having to find a new apartment, and a cup or holiday depression. However, I did empty the clip on a few. Keep reading to see my final word on these items.

I’m going to start with S-Curl, because I can’t recall if I’ve ever really discussed this product before. Even if I have, I definitely haven’t talked about it enough. Many years ago, around the time I started blogging, I decided to go natural. I used to be a frequent reader of message boards (remember those?!) of natural hair tips and products. S-Curl was the ‘it’ product for natural curly hair, because detangled and moisturized. Although I tried a number of detanglers over the years, S-Curl is still the best. I’ll always keep a bottle in my product stash, but I wish they would improve/change the smell.

The next product is this Bliss Lemon & Sage body wash. Nothing spectacular about the body wash – it is very sudsy. However, the scent is so good, because it’s nice clean scent that not’s too overpowering. Plus, I love anything lemony! I would buy this again, but not anytime soon – it’s a good summer body wash.

One of my favorite mascaras ever is Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara. I love it, because it makes my lashes look naturally longer and thicker. Plus, it doesn’t flake and stays on all day. Occasionally, I like to try out a new mascara here and there, but I always buy this one at least once a year. I never lets me down.

Finally, these 2 serums from The Inkey List – Hyaluronic Acid serum and Niacinamide serum. A couple of months ago, I revamped my skincare routine and added these serums. Along with using a hydrating toner, these 2 serums helped transform my skin’s look and texture. My skin was the smoothest and clearest it had been in probably forever. Niacinamide is good for oily and/or acne prone skin, whereas hyaluronic acid helps hydrate the skin. Making sure my skin is hydrated has been the game changer I needed and I’m never going back.
