Isn’t it awesome when a fun holiday falls in the weekend; like 4th of July? This year, Cinco de Mayo falls this Saturday and I already have 3 different Cinco de Mayo day party invites. However, I’m not sure if I’m going to make it to any of them, because I have a meeting all that morning and then I have to serve at church that evening. So, I might be a little too pooped to fall through any of them.
Still, I’m contemplating going to one and if I do, I’m thinking a cute and casual dress with minimal accessories. I have this super sweet printed dress that I got from Old Navy last year that I never got around to wearing, but I don’t have any cute and comfortable sandals to go with it. I guess I need to hurry up and decide if I’m going or not. If so, I have some shopping to do.
My dress from ON is no longer available, but I did find a similar one. Keep reading to see what I think is a cute contender for any Cinco de Mayo day party.
eSTYLIST: Cinco de Mayo Day Party
- Flower Earrings, $150, AUrate – I’ve been fawning over these flower earrings for the past couple of weeks. Mainly, because I need to invest in a nice pair of quality earrings that aren’t simple hoops. They’re unique and small enough to be worn everyday.
- Silk Clover Button-front dress in Fresh Strawberries print, $148, Madewell – “Throw on and go” printed dresses are summer staples for me. This strawberry printed dress will be perfect for any day party this summer. This dress is similar to orange printed dress I featured in the April Lust-Have List.
- Lory Slide Sandals, $220, beek – A good pair of nude slides should stay in your spring/summer wardrobe. The tightly tied bow on this pair from beek is a nice touch.
- Circle Straw Crossbody, $29.90, Forever 21 – Straw bags are back again for spring and summer. If you’ve yet to cop one, this circle one from F21 is a perfect place to start. This bag is cute adn simple enough to carry all summer.
