Favorite Food and Cooking Apps

One of the biggest changes I made toward improving my health this year was learning to cooking more for myself. Thankful, there are so many cooking apps out there that help make preparing your own meals at home at lot easier and convenient. So, here are some of my favorite cooking apps to use when I’m trying to decide what I want to cook.

FAVORITE COOKING APPS:

bigoven cooking app

BigOven is the ultimate cooking app that has over 350, 000 recipes ready for you to make. However, my favorite feature is the ability to list all the ingredients that you have in your fridge or pantry and BigOven will list all the recipes in their directory that you can make with what you have. Definitely a clutch feature.

Okay, well this isn’t really a “cooking” app, but Fooducate is awesome when you want to see how and if the food you are buying is healthy. All you really have to do is snap a picture of the barcode within the app and Fooducate will not only pull up the nutrition facts, but also inform you if there are healthier options. A must app if you are focused on buying healthier foods.

Yummly is an app that pulls recipes from all over and allows you to narrow down your preference including ease, health, and seasonal. With over 1 million recipes from all over the web, it’s pretty much like having the complete recipe book in your pocket.

If you are a beginner cook and need a just a little more visual help with preparing and cooking meals, Kitchen Stories is the cooking app for you. It’s loaded with how-to videos and step-by-step picture guides. Not only are the visual beautiful, but the meals are delicious and easy to
