LINK-END ROUND-UP: Hurricane Harvey Relief

After this horrific week of Hurricane Harvey, this week’s Link-End Round-Up is about how you can help donate. There are plenty of ways you can donate and through different organizations. It’s time to put all of our differences aside and be there for those affected.

Hurricane Harvey Relief

Here are some places that you can donate to that will make huge difference.

Hurricane Harvey has depleted all the food banks in the areas hit. Every $1 donated to the  Houston Food Bank gives three meals to Texans displaced by the hurricane. Other food banks that helping feed those in need include GalvestonCorpus Christi, San Antonio. At this point anything and everything will make a HUGE difference.

A lot of people didn’t know that emergency funds don’t cover diapers. So, the Texas Diaper Bank needs diapers and baby supplies to help provide for families in need of these everyday essentials for their babies.

As a pet owner myself, these images of people rescuing animals and pets in heart-breaking. The SPCA of Texas has been sending volunteers care for the pets that have been rescued, including pets at shelters for evacuees and animals from pet shelters. You can donate directly through their site or help by purchasing some the things they need via their Amazon wish list. The ADL Texas is taking donations to support pet shelters that were affected by the storm and to cover the cost of rescuing displaced pets.

You can also donate money to the Red Cross who are on the ground helping with relief efforts. Also, you can donate through globalgiving.com which all proceeds go to relief and recovery efforts for all effected by Hurricane Harvey. This also includes those affected in Louisiana, as well.
