ITEM OF THE WEEK: Avocado Melt Sleeping Mask | STAINED COUTURE

I feel myself sliding down a rabbit hole of sleeping face masks, but I’m okay. Actually, they became really clutch during the holidays. They were great to use on those cold, dry nights when my skin needed extra attention, but I didn’t have the time nor energy. Instead, I would slather on a soothing, hydrating mask, and then peacefully wake up to soft, supple skin. This Avocado Melt Sleeping mask from Glow Recipe is a new addition to my “Products that help me wake-up with glowing skin”. However, it’s been great and so worthy of being my favorite item of the week. Keep reading to see why.

First off, I haven’t tried that many products from Glow Recipe. Actually, I feel like I’ve gifted more from Glow Recipe that I have tried, but this one was an instant winner. As with most beauty products I’ve been dying these days, I spotted this first on IG. Of course, “sleeping mask” is what caught my attention, because it’s my new buzz word. However, the description stated that it was moisturizing AND firming. At that point, how could I not go to Sephora after work and buy.

After letting the small green jar rest on my nightstand for a couple of days, I finally found the perfect night to try it out. FYI, my favorite time to test out a new skincare product is after a long, exhausting day. After a day of unending and unnecessary email chains, it felt like a perfect night to try this out.

Thankfully, this mask comes with a little spatula to scoop out the right amount of mask. I love when a skincare product comes with a mask spatula. The spatula helps you get just the right amount of product, because you don’t need much. All you need is a dime-size amount, which you pat into your skin. Filled with avocado, manuka honey, and PHA, this mask helps hydrate, gently exfoliate, and support collagen and dry, dull skin overnight.

After leaving the mask on overnight, you simply rinse your face in the morning and proceed with your morning skincare routine. However, you can also use this a quick hydrating mask, which you can leave on for 10 minutes and then rinse off.

I’ve been using this mask 2-3 a week and it’s been nothing but great. Each morning after using the mask, I wake up with soft, hydrated skin.

You can purchase this product at Sephora, Sephora.com, and Glow Recipe website.
