ITEM OF THE WEEK: Benefit Gimme Brow Gel | STAINED COUTURE

This week’s Item of the Week is a very interesting pick for me, because I initially regretted this purchase. So much so, that this brow gel lived untouched in my makeup collection for months before I gave it another try. However, now that I’ve learned to use and love this product, it’s worthy of being an item of the week. Keep reading to see how this escalated.

In case you aren’t aware, Benefit makes some of my favorite brow products, especially their brow pencil. I mean, it’s so good, which made me think that I would love every brow product from Benefit. Well, I was wrong. Unfortunately, I didn’t research this brow “gel” and didn’t know it’s more of brow filler than a gel. At the time, my brows were pretty full and this gel just made them look super bushy. Therefore, it wasn’t for me…at the time.

If I can recall, I bought this during a Sephora or Ulta sale when this was 50% off. So, I had to buy it. Plus, I ran out of my brow gel and used this sale as time to step up from my go-to $5 gel to a “fancy” $24 one. Speaking of the price. The size of the tube is very small; almost the same height of my ring finger. There’s only 0.1 oz of product, which is not much.

So, how did I eventually come to use and love this somewhat overpriced brow gel? Well, a couple of months ago, I overplucked my brows. After pondering how I was going to work my magic to fill in some of the more plucked areas, I remembered that this product was lurking in my makeup drawer. After taking me few tries, I eventually I figured it how to make my brows look fuller in the spots where I got a little tweezer happy.

Gimme Brow isn’t just a regular, smegular brow gel. No, this gel is tinted and contains tiny fibers, that when applied, makes you brows appear fuller. The tiny applicator brush is so small, that it’s almost intimidating. However, it’s the perfect way to apply the gel with little to no over applying. Plus, it lasts all day and water-proof. I love a good “cherry on top” in a product!

This brow gel works great when I do my complete brow application. However, Gimme Brow has even helped me on the days when I don’t have time to give my brows the full shabang.
