ITEM OF THE WEEK is a weekly series on Stained Couture that highlights a product we’re currently loving. This week: Garnier SkinActive Micellar Foaming Face Wash.
One of the things I dread to do after a long day is wash my face. Although I love the feeling of clean skin, I don’t always enjoy the process. Not to mention, the main objective is to thoroughly clean your face, which can be a process. Although I still love and primarily double cleanse my face, I wanted a good one and done product. While spending way too much time in Ulta, I walked up on this micellar foaming face wash. Like most skincare junkies, I love micellar water. However, I was intrigued this this was a micellar foaming cleanser and felt like I needed to give this a try for a few reasons.
Since I’ve dealt with oily skin for as long as I know that foaming cleansers are BOMB for combating oil. At the time, my skin wasn’t that oily, but now that spring has sprung; I’m slick. My skin is oily without makeup and even oilier with makeup, but this cleanser didn’t care. With some foaming face washes or products for oily skin, it can leave your skin feeling dry and stripped. Thankfully, after washing my face with this cleanser, it left my skin feeling clean and refreshed.
Personally, the most shocking thing about this cleanser for me is that it didn’t break me out. I haven’t had the best experience with Garnier skincare products in the past, but this one was a winner. So, after using this cleanser everyday for a week, my skin didn’t experience any type of reaction. #GoodNews
For the most part, I use this cleanser in the evening to remove makeup. However, I’ve begun to use it in the morning, because it’s been getting pretty hot overnight. In the morning, I just wet my face and rub a small pump of cleanser on my face and feel refreshed and ready to take on the day.
If you interested in trying Skinactive Micellar Foaming Cleanser, which I highly suggest, you can find it at most retailers that carry Garnier.
