IOTW: Morphe Filter Effect Soft Focus Foundation

ITEM OF THE WEEK: Morphe Filter Effect Soft Focus Foundation

ITEM OF THE WEEL: Morphe Filter Effect Foundation | STAINED COUTURE

At times, I feel that I will never find that one foundation that I can and will use the for the rest of my life. However, over the past few years, I’ve found some really good ones that have in rotation. The latest edition to the rotation is Morphe’s newest foundation – Filter Effect foundation. Keep reading to see why I decided to try it why I’ve been loving it.

When Morphe first announced this new foundation and had MakeupShayla to be face for it, I felt like I had to try it. However, the problem with me and foundations is trying to find the right shade. It’s hard trying to find the right shade based off an image online. Therefore, I went to Ulta with the intent to hopefully have a better shot at picking the right. I was right, because they had display to match your shade by using your wrist to compare. However, what really helped me is the description of each shade. Ultimately, I went with Tan 20, which perfectly described my complexion – tan with slightly pink undertones.

This foundation is called Filter-Effect Soft-Focus Foundation, because it’s formulated to give your skin a natural and blur appearance. Despite my doubt, it definitely gives my skin a soft, blurring effect. Also, it’s oil-free, which the oily part of my combination skin loves. However, it also contains hyaluronic acid, which helps the skin look plump and hydrated. I’m a sucker for most products that contain hyaluronic acid. This foundation is buildable – medium to full-coverage – but I’m into the soft  look of medium coverage.

The only con I have with this foundation is that it wasn’t available sooner, because it’s been my go-to foundation ever since I bought it. I really think you should give it a try. You can purchase it at Morphe.com and Ulta.
