ITEM OF THE WEEK is a weekly series on Stained Couture that highlights a product we’re currently loving. This week: Vichy Mineral Clay Mask
As usual, I’ve been obsessing over skincare products. However, now that the weather is sizzling, my oily skin and enlarged pores have been getting all of my attention. Since I’ve been taking better care of my skin by trying to eat better and drinking more water, my skin is looking pretty good. Unfortunately, all the freshest veggies and gallons of water can’t hide the fact that I have large pores. FYI, you can’t permanently make your large pores smaller. Through different products and treatments, you can minimize their appearance. One product that recently ran across and fell in love with is Vichy Mineral Pore Purifying Clay Mask. Interested in learning why this mask is worthy to be this week’s Item of The Week and/or you’re looking for a mask for oily skin? Well, keep reading!
Like most people with oily skin, there are some ingredients in products that we look to help. One ingredient that I know helps calm the oiliness in my skin is clay.
Vichy Pore Purifying Mineral Clay mask is formulated with 2 white clays; Kaolin and Bentonite. Both Bentonite and Kaolin help sebum (oil) and other skin impurities to help purify pores. Since both clays help absorb oil, you have to rinse the mask off after 5 minutes. Never let the mask fully dry, because the skin underneath the mask will dry out. too. ¡No bueno!
Another featured ingredient in this mask is aloe vera, which helps to soothe the skin. Aside from the aloe vera helping to soothe and soften the skin, this mask also has mineralizing thermal water. Thermal water is so good for soothing and softening the skin.
I picked this mask up at Ulta, but Vichy currently has a Bastille Day sale going on where you can get 30% off this mask and your entire order.
