ITEM OF THE WEEK: Oil Free Acne Cleanser | STAINED COUTURE

For the past few weeks, I’d been needing another face wash for acne. Eventually, I randomly picked up a new face wash – AcneFree Oil Free Acne Cleanser. So far, it’s been great and so worthy to be this week’s Item of The Week. Keep reading to see why I think so.

First of all, I always try to keep an acne face was in my cleanser arsenal. Thankfully, my skin doesn’t breakout as much as it used to, but it has it’s moments. So, that’s why I keep an acne face wash lurking in my bathroom.

What made me pick up the AcneFree Face Wash in the first place is also the reason I almost put it back – Benzoyl Peroxide. Benzoyl Peroxide is a topical ingredient used to treat acne by killing acne causing bacteria. However, it is very strong and can dry out your skin and cause it to peel. That is the reason that I only use it at night when I have a breakout. Plus, I only use it on the area where the breakout occurred – usually my cheek area.

However, what made me actually buy this face wash is that it contains ceramides. Ceramides are lipids that helps your skin retain moisture, which is good to combat the side effects of benzoyl peroxide. I’ve used ceramide products in the past and they soothed and softened my skin. They’ve also been known to help with anti-aging.

I’ve only used this cleanser a few times, because it helped clear my skin in 1-2 days. Also, when I felt a breakout coming, I used this cleanser – no breakout showed up.

So, if you’re looking for a new acne cleanser, I highly recommend you try AcneFree Acne Cleanser. You can pick it up at most retailers, including Walmart and Target.
