Jamaican Black Castor Oil: A Love Story

A couple of months ago, I had a less than average wax job at a wax bar by a big makeup brand in a bigger makeup store. If you know the players in that sentence, please know that I still love those brands. However, they did your girl and her brows wrong this one Saturday. However, my brows and I were able to regrow and prosper again thanks to patience and one product. That product is Jamaican Black Castor oil.

I decided to try it on my brows and voila, brows are back! Jamaican Castor Oil has been a blessing to my life for the past couple of years. Trust me, this oil has helped me with more that my brows and probably for you, too. There are so many benefits to this oil and I’m going to share a couple of my favorites with you.

The first time that I used this oil was to help my edges. Luckily, I’ve always had a nice, full hairline. However, there was a time when I would reach for a flat iron instead of my fav edge tamer to smooth my edges. Needless to say, this did not sit well with my edges and they began to break. So, I cut back on adding heat to my edges and massages a little bit of the oil on my scalp every night. Just a little bit, I tell you. Within a month, my hairline was stronger, thicker, and growing.

I’ve been using Jamaican Black Castor oil to help keep my edges full and flourishing. Every night, I massage few drops on my hairline. Also, I use it as a scalp and hair treatment before washing my hair. I pour a few drops in my hand and massage into my scalp for 3-5 minutes. Not only does it feel amazing, but it also loosens any buildup, stimulates my scalp, and softens my hair. However, since this is a heavier oil, I wash my hair a couple of times to make sure I got all the oil off my scalp.

JBCO is also good for your skin. Jamaincan Black Castor oil contains vitamin e, which is good for smoothing and softening your skin. Currently, I’m using Sunny Isle’s JBCO, because it’s infused with hemp seed oil. Like JBCO, hemp seed oil has many benefits, too, including improving the look and feel of your skin.

Other Uses for Jamaican Black Castor Oil:

  • Dandruff
  • Split ends
  • Acne
  • Hair breakage
  • Dry skin
  • Topical treatment

If you don’t have a bottle of Jamaican Black Castor Oil, then maybe you should. I’m just saying!
