Hey there! Welcome to this week’s Link-End Round-Up. Take a break and let’s chat for minute!
I hope you all had a good week. My week was very reflective and recharging.
First off, I’ve been reflecting on some people and things that I need to remove out of my life. When you have “things” in your life that serve no purpose, not even the joy of being able to be there for them or it, it’s time to chunk the deuces and move along. It’s crazy that all it takes is a simple conversation to realize that. However, once you remove that purposeless things from your life, you make room for the things that you want and ultimately deserve. So refreshing.
I’m also looking for ways to recharge my mind, body, and soul by being my personal guinea pig. I’m on, well supposed to be on, a strict diet plan this week that calls for me to eat nothing but really lean meats (no beef or dairy), egg whites (no yolks), and all the green veggies I want. Plus, I had to eat small meals of the aforementioned items every 2 and half hours. However, after day one, I realized that I wasn’t down for this plan, but I also wasn’t out. I decided that for the most part I would eat the same foods, but I would also occasionally cure a craving. Afterwards, I would analyze how those foods made my body feel. It’s actually pretty interesting and amusing to find out what my body like and doesn’t like.
Finally, have you seen the new header for the site? I love it! I’m enjoying beauty and style blogging again and decided to just focus on that those two topics. Therefore, I decided to finally spruce up the place and make it a little more “pretty”. Although I do love sharing and reading about lifestyle things such as home decor and recuipes, I didn’t have the desire to blog about it as much as I love reading about it. With anything, especially blogging, just because you enjoy it doesn’t mean you have to blog about it.
How do you know what should be your blogging niche? If you are passionate about reading about it, doing it, and sharing it; that’s your niche. For example, I love spending lazy moments on my sofa, watching Discovery Investigates channel, and sipping wine. However, I couldn’t fathom constantly writing about either of those things, let alone for free. LOL However, I might start including quick lifestyle bites in my newsletter, which has been on an impromptu sabbatical. Don’t worry, it’s coming back!
Whew, let me step out of my chatty blogging bubble and prepare to enjoy my weekend, which involves me spending lazy moments on my sofa, watching Discovery Investigates channel, and sipping wine, because…you know…I love doing that! See ya next week!
