Happy Friday, Friends! Hope you had a great week. I was very much M.I.A. this week, because I had a lot going on since we last spoke. Over the last few years, September has become a hectic month for me. When I was growing up, the only thing that was going on in September was Labor Day and my birthday. Now, I share my birthday month with the anniversay of my mom’s death (17th) and 3 of 4 my nephews have birthdays this month – 16th, 21st, and 22nd. So, as you can see, I had a lot going on over the past week. Honorable Mention: I took a mini road trip with my sister and her BFF on Friday.

Despite all these new notable dates in September, the best is still saved for last – my birthday! Yes, my birthday is on Monday (September 26) and I don’t have anything planned, as usual. I’m not one of those people that make a big to- do about their birthday. That’s probably a good thing, because I would be upset having to share my month. lol Although I’m not one to make a big commotion about my birthday, I do try to grab all the freebies I can. I already got my Ulta birthday gift, but I forgot to get my Sephora birthday gift on this past Monday. I guess another Sephora trip is happening next week, because I did forget a couple of things.

This weekend will be chill, but I do plan to hit up Krispy Kreme to get my free dozen of donuts. As usual, I’ll eat just 2 and leave the rest at my sister’s house for her and her family to devour on my behalf.
