All weekend, I’ve been planning and dreading having to report for jury duty this morning. However, I am one of those people that hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. All weekend, I’ve been trying to prepare for the worst case scenario, which is being sequestered for a trial. When you are sequestered, that means you have to be away and isolated from your life and everything in it. That means no phone, contact with people, or access to television or newspapers. This also means you have to pack up the bare minimum things you need for at least a week. Therefore, I spent some of this weekend preparing for that by coming up with my minimum skincare travel bag essentials.

So, I’m bringing the bare essentials, which includes comfortable clothes, no makeup, and minimum skincare. The only things I need in my skincare bag is a gentle cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and eye cream. Since I don’t plan to wear makeup, Garnier Micellar Cleansing water is perfect. This cleansing water is really good at cleaning my skin and is very gentle and soothing.

I don’t think I could go anywhere without my Mario Badescu facial spray. I mainly use this as a setting spray, but I also use it as toner or to refresh my skin during the day. This is one of my holy grail skincare products, as of late.

For the past week, I’ve been using Juice Beauty’s Green Apply Age Defy moisturizer. Aside from it smelling amazing, this moisturizer helps my look and feel smooth, firm, and supple. My skin and I have really been enjoying Juice Beauty products, which have great anti-aging skincare products.

Speaking of anti-aging. Every anti-aging skincare regimen needs a eye cream. I decided that I would bring my Benefit Cosmetics It’s Potent eye cream. Although this is my go-to nighttime eye cream, I can use it during the day if I’m not wearing makeup. It really does an incredible job at hydrating my under eye area.

Finally, in case the stress of having to be away from my life causes me to breakout, I would bring my Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. This stuff is magical! I’ve yet to find a product that can dry up a pimple overnight like this product.

These are the minimum skincare products I would carry with me if I got sequestered for a trial or a quick trip to the beach. Oh, how I wish it was the latter right now.
