For the past couple of months, I haven’t been buying as many new products as I had in the past. New year, new me indeed. However, I’ve bought some new beauty products recently that I’ve been loving. There were some duds, but this is all about the studs.
Keep reading to see the new products I’ve tried recently and have been loving so far.
The first product that I’ve been loving is the Mist and Set setting spray from ELF. For this setting spray to be so inexpensive ($5), it works just as good as some of the pricey sprays I’ve tried in the past. It does a great job at setting my makeup and it dries pretty instantly. When my face looks or feels too dry, a couple of sprays relieves that feeling.
The next product I’ve been loving was on my “Never Buy Again” list a little over a week ago. A little while ago, Fenty Beauty released their Full-Frontal Volume Lift & Curl mascara. However, this wasn’t your regular, degular looking mascara. The wand on this mascara has an flat to fat oval shape, which is designed to lengthen, curl, lift, and volumize your lashes. Well, I felt like I needed to see this for myself – I bought it the week it was released. Unfortunately, after a few tries, it only did 2 out of 4 of the claims – lift and volume. I wanted more of the lift and curl claims.
However, after giving this mascara the cold shoulder for a few weeks, I decided to give it another go. Ya’ll – this mascara made my lashes do all the things! My lashes looked curl, full AF, and lifted. Yes, it took longer than I would like to learn how to use this mascara, but it was worth it. The only thing I don’t like about this mascara is that the formula isn’t waterproof, which my sensitive eyes need. I’m sure they’re working on the formula as I type.
The final product that I’ve been loving is the L’oreal Voluminous Liner Noir Liquid Eyeliner. L’oreal makes some of the best eye products – drugstore and luxury. Seriously, their Voluminous mascara is almost iconic. I picked this up, because I always have a hard time finding their other liquid eyeliners that I was obsessed with for years. I picked this liner up out of frustration and thought it would do the job. Boy, did it. The felt-tip is extra fine, which helps makes a sleek and subtle cat eye. The shape of the liner itself is thin, which allows me to have more control when making those subtle thin lines. However, the only flaw I have with this liner is the same as the mascara – NOT waterproof.
