Free People has teamed up with designer Mara Hoffman to launch an exclusive capsule collection. The three piece capsule, launching this month, blends the casual effortless style of Free People with Mara Hoffman’s iconic patterns for a style that is bold and bohemian.

The collection includes a mini poncho dress, a maxi kaftan, and a drapey pant in a soft jersey fabric perfect for summer days. Designed for a transition from the beach to a night out, these easy pieces double as throw-on swim cover-ups and statement fashion styles.

The collection, ranges in price from $238-$338 and will be available exclusively on FreePeople.com.

Weekend Bag: April 20-21, 2013

This weekend I plan to carry this fab neon yellow clutch I stalked for a good 2 months (at least) and finally caved in and bought it when it was on clearance for $17. Love.

It’s pretty roomy and has an inner zipper pocket and outer pocket under the flap. It’s so roomy, that it can hold all my essentials for a lazy weekend that is pretty much going to consist of the going to the park on Saturday and church on Sunday.

  • Wallet (also from Target) – When I really want to be compact, this is what I grab. It holds my ID, debit/credit cards, and a compartment for my phone.
  • Notebook – For random thoughts, ideas, and notes at church.
  • Michael Kors Watch – I’ve been meaning to take this to get the battery replaced for over a month. Hopefully, I will be able to get this done this weekend.
  • Revlon Lipgloss in Coral Reef – Perfect pout of shiny coral.
  • Pill Case for my multi-vitamin, biotin, and green tea extract pills
  • Car Keys – The pouch matches my clutch. Score!
  • My phone, which is a MyTouch 4g from T-Mobile. I strongly dislike this phone.

Missoni for Converse Auckland Racer

Today, Converse releases their latest collab with italian fashion house Missoni in the form of Nike Auckland Racers with two new fabric updates for spring. First debuted at the Missoni Men’s Spring Summer 2013 runway show in Milan, both shoes feature Missoni’s iconic multi-stitch fabric featuring a multi-color and grayscale gradient-fade version.

The Auckland Racer silhouette hails from the early days of the jogging movement in the 1970’s and serves as the model for these beautiful collaborative shoes from Converse and Missoni. Each shoe features a wool/viscose upper, premium canvas lining and white rubber soles. The multi-color version features a subtle lamé yarn woven into the fabric.

The Missoni for Converse Auckland Racer will be available Friday, March 29, 2013 in limited quantities at Missoni boutiques and select Converse First String retailers globally. All shoes will retail for a MSRP of $200 and will be available in unisex sizing 7 – 13.

Essential Accessories for Spring

There are just some things that are staples for spring and I’ve accumulated a little list of things that I saw on Surfstich.com that are fab for spring! Nuetral colors of tan leather that are for transistioning between winter to spring to summer. A tan leather tote and watch give functionality and the fashionable flexibility to go with a nice jacket and jenas on cooler days or a colorful romper and flip flops on those perfect warm and sunny days. Currently, I need some of those days…STAT.

Tortoise frame sunglasses. You can never go wring with them and you should own at least one pair. Timeless and chic. Plus, they work with almost any and ever complexion and shade!

Classsic, iconic, timeless, comfy, cute, and even sophisticated. These are just some of the words that can be used to describe a pair of all white Chuck Taylor sneakers. I get a new pair every spring and this year is no exception. Although, I wear them more in the warmer months, I actually wear them all year round. I have yet to see someone not look instantly cool and chic with a pair of white Converses….like ever! I will probably buying at least one pair, every year, for the rest of my life.
