Splurge or Save for a Rainy Day…LITERALLY!

You might remember recently when I mentioned that I was in love with the lace rain boots from Valentino’s latest collection which is filled with frilly lace footwear.

I’ve been seriously considering dropping nearly $300 which is a serious load of money, for rain boots at least, for the lace print Valentino pair. However, I’ve pretty much dismissed the pretty boots from Valentino for a much more affordable pair from rain boot line Chooka that gives the pricey ones a serious run for its money.

Swooning for… JC On Fire Boots

I’m really lusting for these boots! Unfortunately, I haven’t broken out any boots yet for fall, because just when I think Mother Nature is letting fall enter, here comes some leftover heat from summer.

However, in the meantime, I’m obsessing over boots galore like these from Jeffrey Campbell. They are available in black and brown, but the gray ones caught my attention more. I love them!

Beauty Diving for Fall

Every season, before I start reaching in my wallet to buy new items for the season, I take inventory if what I already have so I don’t waste my money on things that I already have.

So, here is a small list of things that I found in my possession that are perfect for fall:

  • CoverGirl  Cheekers Blush in Natural Twinkle – The last few weeks of summer, I was using a light bronzer as blush for a natural summer bronze. However, for fall, this blush is perfect flush of natural light plum. It has the perfect name!
  • O.P.I A Qui Bit of Red nail polish – A bright true red nail is so classic and chic, especially in the fall and winter. This red from OPI’s La Collection de France is a classic red that just makes me feel uber sophisticated and retro when I wear it!
  • O.P.I Bronzed To Perfection nail polish – Although this shade is from the South Beach Collection which was for spring/summer, the deep bronzey brown works perfectly with fall. Love it!
  • iQ Derma Glacial Hydrating Gel Mask – Now that the humidity has left, my combination skin is more on the dry side than oile. So, I broke out this hydrating mask the other night and it was awesome! My skin is so soft, supple, refreshed and moisturized. Plus, it feels so good on!
  • Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipstick in Sugar Honey – Another bronze beauty product that I’m loving. I actually got this as a free gift with purchase it provides a nice soft bronze color with a very faint hint of pink. However, it’s so nice and natural and perfect for fall.
  • Avon Glazewear Intense Lipgloss in Crimson – Let me just say, Avon has some of the worst swatches in their catalog and online. When I ordered this gloss, I was under the impression that this was going to give me fresh bitten color. However, it’s a very intense burgundy with shimmer for intensity. It makes a great lip color for the evening,
  • Clinique Long Last Glosswear in Knockout Nude – Since this is a very sheer gloss, I’ve been using it to top all the hot pink lipsticks and glosses I wore all summer. This gloss makes the pinks appear warmer, kind of mauve-y and lovely for fall.
