Currently, my hair and I are at a crossroad, because I’m not sure if I want to keep my hair black or go lighter for the spring. Back in the fall, I dyed my hair jet black and I loved it. However, a couple of months ago I decided that I wanted to go lighter in the spring. So, my colorist decided we should start in January and gradually get lighten my hair over a couple of months. Now that it’s January, I’m not sure if I want to go lighter now. I know, I’m complicated.

While I go back and forth with this dilemma, my hair is still growing. With this new growth, I have grey hairs and roots are popping up all over my head. Since I can’t dye my hair until I come up with a decision, I’ve had to look for quick fixes to hide my grey hairs. Fortunately, there are plenty of quick and temporary options for hiding grey hairs and roots.

The Bumble and Bumble recently release their Bumble and Bumble Color Stick. The stick is very reminiscent of  chubby lip pencil and it’s as easy to use a lipstick. The formula is velvet smooth, which helps you be able to blend it with your finger tips. This stick is available in 5 different hues; Blonde, Dark Blonde, Red, Brown, and Black. Therefore, there’s an option for almost everyone.

The Root Touch Up from Madison Reed comes in a compact, which look similar to a blush compact. Since this touch up is in a powder formula, it’s also great to absorb excess oil and your root. Unlike the previous 2 options, this root cover up is available in 7 shades that range from black to blonde duo option.

Another root touch up that comes in a compact is John Frieda Root Blur. The Root Blur comes with two colors in each compact to allows you to customize your shade, which is  great if you have a distinctive shade or highlights. The only downside to this product is that they darkest shade available is dark brown. So, my fellow raven hair ladies might want to skip this one.

If you are currently fighting a few grey strands or roots, you should definitely add one of these root concealers.
