If you have been one of the few people who has seen me the last couple of weeks with makeup up, I was probably wearing a red lip. After Thanksgiving, when everyone else is pulling out all of their holiday decor, I’m pulling out mine; red lips products. I might break out a red lip a couple times in the fall, but I do it more during the holiday season. Red lips for the holidays is my thing.
Despite me having numerous red lip options, I’ve been switching between five different products this season. Keep reading to see which ones have been my current favorites and why!
The first red lipstick that I wear mostly is The Organic Skin Co.’s Lip Service lipstick in Ruby Red. Although this is new member of the team, it’s the one I’ve been wearing the most. What I love about this red compared to the others is that it’s subtle enough to wear everyday; not too dark nor bright.
I believe every woman should have a red lip liner. My go-to red liner this season has been MAC’s lip liner in Cherry. This iconic liner makes for a great base to help any red lipstick pop, but it’s also great to use alone.
Fenty Beauty’s Stunna Lip Paint in Uncensored is probably one of the most universally flattering red lipsticks I’ve seen. I’ve personally seen this shade on super fair skin and deep dark and it looks equally fabulous. Even when I wear this on my deep tan skin tone I get loads of compliments. So, if you’re thinking about trying a red lip or on the search for the perfect red, you might want to give this one a shot.
The next red lipstick product is Let’s Play from the Colourpop x Hello Kitty collab a couple of years. This lipstick is fantastic, because it’s a cranberry shade with some hot pink pearl dusting in a satin finish. I only wear to festive holiday events, such as Christmas and New Years. Oh, how I wish you could still buy this so I don’t have to hoard this one for the rest of my life. Hopefully, it holds up for at least one more year. I’m bling to the expiration date on this one. #SorryNotSorry
Finallly, another red lip product from MAC; Brave Red. A creamy red that’s buildable and gives a slight glossy look. It has blue undertones, but looks amazing on most complexions. Like the Fenty’s Uncensored, it’s a good starting point into the world of red lip products.
